Frodo - The King James Version  by DrummerWench 6 Review(s)
AntaneReviewed Chapter: 3 on 4/4/2010
Another wonderful addition! Please do whatever you must to ask, beg, plead, for more of the tale to be told. :) Happy Easter! Christ is risen! He is truly risen!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Yes, this really is DrummerWench's brother. I appreciate the positive reviews. Since the bug seems to strike every two years or so, it is possible that more of these might show up. The difficult part of this one was conveying Gollum's dialogue without quoting directly or making it unlike something the KJV translators would not have recognized. And yes, cloke is spelled correctly.

As Drummer has indicated earlier, if you grow up with the King James as the version you hear every day, it is easier to get in the rhythm. It doesn't hurt that Tolkien's English isn't too far removed from the Jacobean, or that the canon was written as though it were a translation of an archaic text.

How well your brother weaves the story and the KJV language together.
