Hi anoriath. I have just come across your story. It is hilarious. I love, in the list of things to avoid, lords of

the nazgul. Not sure how many of them are around?

Author Reply: Thanks Galathil! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

re: the Nazgul. Welllll, I'm not sure how in the loop the examiner might have been about that. Rumors abound! But then, regardless, they were getting pretty shouty by the end and logic may not have been at the forefront of their thinking. :)

Hilarious, especially when you bring Faramir into it.

"So she reminds you of your mother..."

"social withdrawal, and chronically poor hygiene."

"pt attracts men with unresolved Oedipal issues? "]] "

"[Muttered voice of the examiner]: How do these people find each other?

[[end recording]] "

"Please institute precautions according to suicide prevention protocol, including restriction of access to strings, sharp objects, swords, razors, ropes, lords of the nazgul, and angst-ridden men who enjoy taking walks along walls of lethal height. "

ROTLMAO!!!

Oh my God was that funny. Just what I needed. Thanks, Anoriath!

It's even funnier b/c I'm a Med Transcriptionist, so I'm used to some pretty crazy stuff... and this is written almost completely like I'm used to getting. But it doesn't have horrid handwriting, seeing as it's typed... ; )

Thanks again - you just set my day to a good finish. I'll be laughing in bed tonight!!!

This was fabulous. You nailed the clinical tone, but Faramir's interview cracked me up. I loved the interviewer's growing realization that Faramir has even more issues than Éowyn does, and that she may not necessarily be the one in most desperate need of psychiatric help. What really nailed it for me was this line: [Muttered voice of the examiner]: How do these people find each other?

I'm sure many a therapist has found him- or herself muttering those exact same words.

Thanks. I'm glad it made you laugh. You can't imagine how much fun I had writing this little piece. :oD

One of my favorite icons on LJ is one of Faramir with the caption, "There are not enough days in the week for all the therapy I'm going to need." I have *got* to snag one of those.

LOL this is so good, when you look at it like this, it does seem like the right conclusion :D

Author Reply: Thanks! Yes, from a modern perspective, Faramir and Eowyn seem almost doomed. But I confess I still nurture the hope that, if anyone can make it work, they can.

Very clever! We can't envy folks trying to keep coherent records (especially psychiatric records!) during this time.

Examiner: How did she seem to you, then?

Faramir: Lovely.

Examiner: Uhm… I think I was wondering a bit more about how her mood was at the time.

Hee hee. :D
