He Just Doesn't Listen  by White Wolf 4 Review(s)

This looks to be an interesting story. I have read others that you have written and have enjoyed them very much. Hum...."He just doesn't listen"....which one are you implying...Legolas or Aragorn? Ha..it could be either one. I like it that you have gotten to the point quickly without overburdening the story with a lot of excessive description.....very nice. I must, quite selfishly, ask....please...do not let Legolas die. I just can't take it. He is immortal and I can't bare the thought of him dying...you see...I have a bad case of Elf (Legolas) worship. Of course...this is your story and I am but a reader. ;-) Looking forward to the next chapter.
Peace

Author Reply: I'm glad you like the story so far. Thank you.

Aragorn is saying that about Legolas, when he's relating to Jother that he's always telling Legolas not to risk his own life to save him (Aragorn). But the other way around could be true, considering their friendship, just not in this particular story.

I try to give my readers enough description to help them see what I'm writing about without bogging them down with too much detail. I'm happy it's working for you.

You will learn Legolas's fate in Chapter Two, which I will post in a few days. I hope to hear from you again.

Author Reply: Oops. I goofed. When I was explaining about the title, I forgot that it's explained in Chapter Two, which you haven't read yet. My mistake. I guess you thought I was crazy answering the way I did. You'll see when Ch. 2 gets posted. *grins sheepishly*

oh you can't leave it like that! good chapter, and the part with Legolas killing the oliphant and the exchange with him and Gimli has always been one of my favorites.

Author Reply: Don't worry. Chapter Two will be posted next week. Thank you. I think Gimli's line: "It still only counts as one" was the funniest one in any of the movies. I just had to expand on it a bit.

You sure have gone of at a running start and I can't wait to see where it will go from here.

Author Reply: A running start is a good thing. :o) Stay tuned, and you'll find out what's up next. Thanks.

Yes, Legolas would give his life for Aragorn, but so then would Aragorn for Legolas. They would both feel equally guilty afterwards, too. A well written and enjoyable story. Congratulations on coming in third at the Teitho contest. Will you be doing any stories based on the backgrounds here? Like the 7 year old Aragorn and the river or how the people in Minas Tirith or at least the soldiers and House of Healing know he is their King? Looking forward to Chapter 2.

Author Reply: I believe you're right. They would each sacrifice for the other. Thank you. I'm glad you like it. I hadn't really thougnt about writing any more along the lines that you suggest. It's certainly somehting to considerl. I'll post Chapter 2 next week.
