This is such a touching piece. Every character is well portraied and described.

Author Reply: Please forgive the delay in responding. I never received notification of your review.

I'm so glad you enjoyed my little tale. I work hard to get the characters right, and I'm so pleased you think I succeeded.

Awwwwww White Wolf I am so sorry! My delay was absolutely ridiculous! But I hafta explain everything.....

(June 15)
It was graduation day...go through everything.....and finally it was over. I went home, hoping to go on the computer and go on SOA.com (where else?) But when I turned it on, it kept telling me to restart! The next day, we took it to the computer repair shop, where the worker there told us that our computer was old and so we needed to buy a new one. I was shocked. I knew my parents wouldn't buy a computer until late into the summer, and that meant that I couldn't do anything. At all. So now I'm at the library, reviewing your story. I'm so sorry! (I don't know if you exactly remember me or not...)

Wow, some story you've written, eh? You have true talent if your stories keep winning in the Teitho contest.

Now why would you do that? Make an orc ruin the moment of relief? But that's the way you are. You like making things long and angsty. Hmm. Oh well. The fact that Legolas would defend Aragorn from anything shows true friendship.

I'm glad he recovered. Aragorn's prayers were of use after all.

I would have reviewed more but I hafta catch up. Bye!

Author Reply: Yeah, I seem to vaguely remember you. Aren't you the one that gives me chocolate? :o)

My old computer crashed last fall, so I know what it's like to be withoug one. I had to get a new one. If you can, get a flat screen monitor. I love mine.

Thank you. I do try and keep hoping that I can get higher than third place one of these days.

It's not me, it's my plot bunny. He loves angst and delights in tormenting our dear elf and ranger, though he can sometimes be nice.

I'm also glad Legolas recovered. Prayers do work.

See you later.

Awww...hummm....well, I was expecting this to be a longer story, but it was short and sweet. So glad that Legolas is okay. I should have known....you can't keep a good Elf down. I love stories with Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli. They are so great together. Thanks so much for writting it. Hope there are more in the works.
Peace
Bev

Author Reply: This story was short, because I wrote it for a contest, and of necessity the length is limited. It is indeed hard to keep a good elf down, and we all know how good Legolas is. :o) Most of my stories involve Legolas and Aragorn in pre-ring war times, but I won't forget to add Gimli from time to time, because as you say, they are so great together.

Thank you.

This turned out to be quite different to what I was expecting but a lovely look at the relationship between these three. Well done White Wolf.

Author Reply: I'm glad the story wasn't predictable, though that's nnot alway a bad thing. I'm even more glad that you like the way I portrayed the characters' relationship. I love those three together.

Thank you very much.

usually, you write much longer stuff, but this was great: short, sweet, & to the point. loved it......

Author Reply: Most of the shorter stories I write are for the Teitho Contest. Left on my own, I do tend to write much longer stories. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.

Author Reply: Thanks. That says a lot.

A very enjoyable chapter. Will you be writing a back story about the fall into the river for Estel at age 8? Maybe part of a longer fic; How Aragorn and Legolas met?
I enjoy your stories keep writing.

Author Reply: Thank you. I had thought about writing a story like you suggest, but I havne't made up my mind yet. We'll have to see.

I'll keep wriing as long as I'm able. There will be more stories coming along. I hope you give them a try. :o)

This looks to be an interesting story. I have read others that you have written and have enjoyed them very much. Hum...."He just doesn't listen"....which one are you implying...Legolas or Aragorn? Ha..it could be either one. I like it that you have gotten to the point quickly without overburdening the story with a lot of excessive description.....very nice. I must, quite selfishly, ask....please...do not let Legolas die. I just can't take it. He is immortal and I can't bare the thought of him dying...you see...I have a bad case of Elf (Legolas) worship. Of course...this is your story and I am but a reader. ;-) Looking forward to the next chapter.
Peace
Bev

Author Reply: I'm glad you like the story so far. Thank you.

Aragorn is saying that about Legolas, when he's relating to Jother that he's always telling Legolas not to risk his own life to save him (Aragorn). But the other way around could be true, considering their friendship, just not in this particular story.

I try to give my readers enough description to help them see what I'm writing about without bogging them down with too much detail. I'm happy it's working for you.

You will learn Legolas's fate in Chapter Two, which I will post in a few days. I hope to hear from you again.

Author Reply: Oops. I goofed. When I was explaining about the title, I forgot that it's explained in Chapter Two, which you haven't read yet. My mistake. I guess you thought I was crazy answering the way I did. You'll see when Ch. 2 gets posted. *grins sheepishly*

oh you can't leave it like that! good chapter, and the part with Legolas killing the oliphant and the exchange with him and Gimli has always been one of my favorites.

Author Reply: Don't worry. Chapter Two will be posted next week. Thank you. I think Gimli's line: "It still only counts as one" was the funniest one in any of the movies. I just had to expand on it a bit.
