Blood-feud  by Agape4Gondor 9 Review(s)

This seems like a nice and different story! The interaction between Legolas and Aragorn is the way I imagined it to be and there are some very original ideas. Hoping for another episode soon!

Author Reply: Joana,

Thanks for reading and the review... Don't be fooled into thinking this is another Faramir/Legolas tale - though I do like those... but this is pretty much swinging around the pendulum. Legolas' grandfather has quite a story to tell also - as will Legolas himself.

Can't wait to go further myself.

Now this looks like it's gonna be a very interessting story,I can't wait for the rest of it.

Author Reply: Thanks Fire - I'm hoping it continues intersting - the blasted thing seems to be going from person to person / age to age.

We'll have to wait and see what happens!

Thanks for responding!

Unfortunately, I can see this all too well.

Author Reply: You know, Larner, the Elves stories always held a poignant place in my heart. There was so much sorrow - and so much of it brought on by themselves...

Good grief - I do love them - but they are so stubborn and intractable... and sad.

Thanks for responding.

Ah, how well he knows his friend--and to present it as his OWN idea? Masterful stroke.

I'm so intrigued by this chapter. There are really so many directions this could go. I'm interested to see what Elrond has to say about Legolas' view of that battle, after all, Elrond was there too. Seems there may be some very important lessons to be learned somewhere, I don't know. I just can't wait to read the next chapter!

Author Reply: Glad you are enjoying this, Mystwing.

I usually write about the men of Gondor - but I've been in contact lately with a friend who loves Elves... so we've been talking a lot about them lately - the tales of the Sil are so heart-wrenching... Elrond's part from the River Sirion to Valinor is so important

We'll have to wait and see where this leads - so far I've written about 2 ages and 14 or so characters. It seems a hodge-podge, but it's been challenging and fun to write.

If you notice any glaring errors - I'd most appreciate a heads-up.

Thanks for responding!!!

Legolas needs to know his history more. *tisk, tisk* Some one get that Wood-elf a copy of the Silmarillion!
I bet Elrond's pissed and what a slap in the face to Gimli! There where Dwarves that took part in the Last Alliance! How insulting that they where so easily forgotten.
I'm hooked, I look forward to more ^_^!

Author Reply: Hi, CH!

Thanks for responding! I wondered whether or not history got changed by those who told it - happens in the RW - thought it might in Middle-earth.

The Dwarves only get one small line - if I remember correctly - not even a headcount for the battle itself. I almost can't see them standing around for seven years in the wide open plains of Gorgoroth, etc.

Hope you enjoy the rest of this tale... I already have written about 2 ages (1st and 3rd) next chapter will be about the 2nd, I think.

Very good start to your story. Prehaps Legolas should think about the fact that it takes both sides to make peace, and that Legolas's grandfather did what he wanted to do. I could be wrong here. looking forward to more.

Author Reply: Hi, Grumpy,

I myself am excited to see what Legolas finds out about Oropher... He is a character not very well known... but the little innuendos that Tollers writes about him are fascinating...

He and Legolas will be running throughout this tale...

Hope you continue to enjoy AND if you find any glaring problems - I'd most appreciate a heads-up.

Many thanks for responding.

A most interesting beginning. It is fascinating to think how some of the characters span several ages of history.

Author Reply: Hi, Linda - you are a constant and loyal reader - thank you!

I'm always surprised at the fact that these Elves lived thru ages not just years. And it makes it interesting to think of what they have been through. I am looking forward to delving into Oropher's mind and Legolas' reactions to what his grandfather did.
