Many thanks. I've bookmarked "Deeper Than the Darkness." and will read it asap.

Ooops! trust silly ol' me to misunderstand what you mean't :)

Author Reply: No, the misunderstanding was in the text. I've corrected it now. "Man" just implies "male human" too naturally to be used without modification when referring to a mortal woman.

Loved it. You made me feel as if I were there. You gave your story a haunting and dreamlike quality. I was certainly drawn in by it.

I liked the way you decided that Firiel should start life as a man and that the wandering soul, could perhaps later be reincarnated in a woman’s body.

Where can I find your first fic?

Author Reply: Thank you for the kind words! *blushes* The first fic I wrote is also posted here, and is entitled "Deeper Than the Darkness."

By "Man" I just meant human. The name Firiel means "mortal woman." Could you really see a man of Gondor being such a fangirl of Frodo? ;) But I did try to leave a lot of things up to reader interpretation, so you are welcome to read into it whatever you see there.

Yes, the memories linger although the spirit goes on. And I think we all Mary Sue ourselves from time to time.

But this was quite beautiful.

Author Reply: My first review!

LOL, as this was my second fan-fiction ever, I have no excuse for lapsing into playing Mary Sue. But Firiel is, umm...canon! from Gondor! Really! Any resemblences to me are quite accidental, my own mother wouldn't even recognize them... *cough* Okay, so I let my mother read the story first, and she did notice a few details sounded like me ;).

I am glad (and flattered!) you thought this beautiful, though.
