Explaining it all to Hobbits who've never dealt with the outer world beyond possible trips to Bree would be MOST difficult.

Author Reply: Indeed. So much is different than what they're used to.
God bless,

The official document that will seal my fate is sitting on Will's side table. It has only to be signed by the seven witnesses and I shall be locked into another task I am unsure I can accomplish.

You can do it, darling. Believe in yourself as others believe in you. They can see what you cannot.

Oh, Elanor, I am loving this. You have such a handle on our dear one and it's nice to hear Sam calling his brother-master 'dear'. Nice of Frodo to put out that he's not Sam's 'better' but I would think Sam is his equal at least.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

"The whole room grows quiet as I read it to myself. Then I look up. "She's giving me Bag End."

Wow! that was an awesome scene! I can't get over how well you write. The suspense was great and Frodo's line there is perfect. The whole thing is really, really good. You have a talent for dialogue. I am looking forward to all your next chapters!

Well, I started writing ago when I was young, and I took some creative writing classes in college, but then I had a long period of working and raising family, and I have just now come back to writing. I came back by writing the fic that's posted here at SoA. Then I got an idea for a novel of my own, and wrote it. It's Christian fiction and it's not a romance, though, and I couldn't find a traditional agent and publisher. It's about an orphaned fourteen-year-old boy growing up, and it's set in 1934 in a unique Czech community in my home town.
I just couldn't find anyone who thought it fit their market. So I looked around for a self-publishing place, and I am publishing it myself. But I am working on a second novel now that I think will be more saleable. So I'm going to give the traditional-publishing thing another try.

Author Reply: Thanks! *blushes* So glad you like this!

Your story sounds REALLY good! I love reading historical fiction type stories, or ones not set in our time period, but I can't really write them.

God bless,
Ellie

I liked Frodo's thoughts on becoming Mayor and how difficult that might be for him. It must have been hard to do anything normal for quite some time for any of them.

Author Reply: Yes, I agree. Thanks for reviewing!

Poor Frodo. I'd be freaking out if I had the job of deputy Mayor to look forward to, but I'm so glad he has all his friends to stand behind him.

Poor old Lobelia, if only she'd had more time to live the life she'd missed for so long. But at least she knew some good before the end. A lovely chapter, Ellie!
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Where would Frodo be without his friends? Lobelia missed out on alot, didn't she? Thank you, mellon nin!
God bless,

AAwww! How nice of her! Hmhm. (Hey, this story sounds like Teenpac might of got you into some of it?) Yah! Is Aragorn gonna pay a visit soon?
Can't wait! God bless ~Arwen

Author Reply: Wow, you must be pshycic, or something. Jk. Yeah, TeenPact did make a difference in this. Wasn't so wary of the subject after that. And as for Aragorn, I know I keep saying this but... we will see! Thanks for reviewing mellon nin!
God bless,
Ellie
