Hello Misty,

I realize that it has been a long time since I last read your story. I am deeply impressed. I had another thought in my head that was totally diffrent from the truth. Poor Aragorn. I'm glad that legolas is with him. His wounds are deep. I hope that with Legolas's help they'll eventually heal.

Author Reply: Thank you. Yes, I think that Legolas will help Aragorn heal from his wounds, even though they were inflicted years ago.

Very interesting story. I like how Legolas doubts what 'must' be true, and how he comes to understand his friend better by learning the truth. Friendship is so important, and it truly does shine in your story.

Author Reply: Thanks, I do try to show strong friendships in my stories. Good friends can help people through even the worst circumstances.

In "The Acceptable Sacrifice" I have a discussion of just this issue in which it is impressed upon Frodo that Aragorn has had to live with those who died to give him the chance to fulfill his destiny and has had to learn to accept their sacrfices; and so Frodo needs to learn to accept the same, for Frodo was feeling guilty for all those who died that he might reach the Sammath Naur.

An excellent situation to delve into, and a well done story.

Author Reply: I'll have to add that to my reading list. This is an interesting issue to go into, and I'd like to see what you've done with it. But it would be a very hard thing for anyone to deal with, knowing that other people gave up their lives so that they might live.
