Ouch. That hurt.

At least they are no longer trying to hide things from the boys, and Boromir is realizing it is acceptable to weep. She's done the right thing here, and I love Eomund deeply already.

Heart-rending chapter; as Denethor's orphaned children learn the difference between uplifting stories and terrible truths.

Small quibble - I can't see the boys referring to their father's sister as "Indis"; they are much too young for such familiarity in a culture that prizes good manners and a certain gravity, even among kin.

Author Reply: Wasn't that hideous - the poor things - and yet, how else could Indis tell them? They were so aware of the land's history of violence... it broke my heart!

As for what the children call her - I was stumped by this - Aunt sounded so 'modern' that I didn't know what to do. So I took the easy way out and just left them calling her by name.

ANY suggestions would be most welcome!

PS - thanks for reading and responding!

Author Reply: Hi,Raksha,

A friend finally came up with a good term of endearment for Indis - so I have changed the chapters affected. Hope this works for you. It does for me.
