Ah, a worthy gift for Pippin, and we do have a mystery solved from the other story. Lovely indeed. And I'm not sorry it isn't over yet.

Author Reply: That's right--you were reading Courtship, too! LOL, well, for as much as I love this story, I am glad to see the final chapter coming together. I do love to read dramas written by other authors, but for me to write it, it gets to me after a while. I have to have my healthy dose of writing hummour. :-P Thank you so much for all of your encouraging words!

p.s. I think I'm going to take my break right after book 3 instead; I don't mean any disrespect toward the good Professor, but I *need* to, lol. Its been a long journey for me--and I'm only a reader! So start looking for reviews soon. :-)

What lovely gifts of love - both the knightings, feast and games-set. But I did want to see the knightings from you PIppinfan! Go do that research and fill it in Pleeeeeeeese! :)

Author Reply: Man, lol! I thought I had gotten away with not putting it in, but I suppose I could dive in and do the research, lol. :-) As this tale is almost finished, I will have to post it as a short story with Hobbit Tales. Can't say when that will be because I want to do it right. :-)

Thank you for reading and your lovely review! :-)

I see you posted this after my internet connection went out. LOL I was off line for a bit but was glad to find this when I returned. It is lovely and I enjoyed every word of it. I love the friendship between Beregond and Pippin. It was one of the things that I missed most in the films. I also like the fact that Beregond wanted to give Pippin something for saving his life. Oh, and I am glad that there will be another chapter. If you need to,just keep putting in chapters. I will gladly read and enjoy all of them!

Author Reply: LOL, I had wondered what happened! One minute we were talking Hetty and the next you went busy. I figured you probably got busy and your focus was elsewhere. :-)

Trust me, you'll get bored if I take this any further than the next chapter, lol. Drama gets to me after a while--I have to have a healthy dose of humor. :-) But I *am* glad that you are enjoying this--I was only too happy to put Beregond in, too. Take care.

What a sweet chapter. I love Beregond, and to see him with Pippin is wonderful. Thanks for telling the story of the lovely chess/draughts set.

I'm glad this wasn't the last chapter. I want this one to go on a little longer.

GT.

Author Reply: I really did want to put him in, but was still mulling it over when Lindelea responded to a chapter. Ever since you asked about how Pippin got his special draughts game, I knew from right then how he got it, but at that time, I wasn't entertaining the idea of re-writing this tale. So this was for both me and you, though you're the one who put it in the back of my mind. Thank you!

Well, as you know, all things--whether good or boring--must come to an end, lol. This tale is no exception. It was fun, but I Degger's still tugging on my shirt sleeve. ;-)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and leave a review--and for all of your encouragement.

You are so good at covering stuff people have asked about!!

This is sweet. How wonderful for Pippin to get a lasting momento. This has been a wonderful tale :)

Author Reply: LOL, I do try, but I'm not always successful. I like it when other authors mention items from story to story, too. The game is something Pippin treasures for the rest of his life. Thank you for all of your wonderful encouragement--there is still one more chapter to go--lol, and I mean it this time. :-)

What a lovely gift. I can imagine that board becoming a Took family heirloom, passed down through the generations.

Author Reply: I suppose it could be...maybe. :-) Thank you for reading!
