LifeWatch  by Lindelea 10 Review(s)

A first read for me, Lindelea, and so far I'm loving it! I understand about little hobbits around, they can be quite time/attention demanding, without the rest of life making its demands!

Hot scones sounds wonderful, btw! Where would you be, if I wanted to pop in? LOL

Oh, and I LOVE the hobbit-like captain, rubbing his tummy! Nice touch. AspenJules

Author Reply: Glad to hear from you!

Actually, it was easier to write when the little hobbits were littler--I had their naptime for writing, but naps have gone by the wayside and the days are full. But I admit I wouldn't have it any other way. Each day is a golden coin for the treasure-box.

Thanks!

Ah...the sea! Well, okay, its a river. I miss the feel of swells underneath my feet. I don't have a lovely cup of tea, but I'm doing fine with my bottle of flavoured water. ;-)

This is an excellent beginning; Merry's trip, from Merry's pov, is something I've never mused upon. I'm enjoying this. :-)

Author Reply: Have you sailed?

I grew up boating, but don't care as much for it now. I get seasick much more easily than I used to, for some reason.

A lovely cup of tea... I'm overdue to put the kettle on for today.

Thanks!

Hobbits and meal times. I loved this. I don't think I've read it before. I like the focus on Merry.

Author Reply: Ah, yes, hobbits and meal times. Happens a lot around here. The little hobbits must eat six or eight times a day.

(And am adding your new tales onto my "want to read" list. Perhaps I'll print them out and take them to the poolside during summer swim lessons.)

Oh, Lin! This is off to a marvelous beginning :) I'm looking forward to the rest.

Author Reply: Thanks, Pearl!

(And one of these days I'll have reading time, and perhaps even writing time. I hope so, anyhow.)

Oh, but this is a great reread! I had read it before on ff.net but I am very thrilled to see it here. :D I am also very happy to see a happy version of Merry's travel to see his cousins and friends, although I am sure he is worried enough. Lovely, Lin!

Author Reply: Well, this is the new-and-improved version, taking into account both the original beta comments, and Dreamflower's. (And with lots of Merry h/c, too.) Glad to have you along for the journey.

I love Merry snoozing in the piles of cloth - I suspect he still needs recovery time - and he is charming on the boat. Shows the respect in which he is held, that he is tucked in the captain's cabin.

Look forward to more.

Author Reply: Glad to hear from you!

As a matter of fact, I hold Merry in a great deal of respect, myself.

Greetings Linelea! You are an amazing Auther. I felt like I was right there with the hobbits! :) My friend Goldberry told me you have a hundred stories here, so I cant wait to look through them. God bless you and have a great time writting! Namarie, Arwen

Author Reply: Greeetings, Arwen!

Nice to make your acquaintance. Drop by any time; the teapot is always cosied, and there are fresh biscuits and scones, if the young hobbits haven't eaten them all. (In which case we'll just have to bake more.)

Beautifully written, Lindelea. Looking forward to more, and one day to more of Thain as well. Hope life settles down soon, and I'm so tired of stress.

Author Reply: I'm tired of stress, too.

(((hugs)))

Who knows, maybe we'll drive up your way this summer. It would be nice!

I'll thoroughly enjoy reading this again!

:D

Author Reply: Hurrah! And I'll enjoy when I have reading time again, to read the "Towers" story I hear you've just finished. (Congrats.)

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Lindelea. And I am sure that nobody minds a newly refurbished favourite. I am certain that I don't!

Author Reply: Thanks! I can certainly use all the good thoughts and prayers you have to spare.
