Brothers at Heart  by Radbooks 1 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 17 on 5/24/2006
A fine description of the battle and the concern for all involved. Wish the one horse hadn't run away with its rider; to die tied to his horse would possibly have been poetic justice, considering what his people did to the two families, but it would still be untenable to such as Aragorn.

And so now the athelas smells like home, does it? Of course!

Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing the chapter. Glad you liked the description of the battle... it was fun to write as I don't usually have too many action scenes in my stories. Well, at least they don't dominate my stories. :)

Aragorn and all of the Rangers are horrified about the horse running away with the bandit and will do their best to find him. None of them would wish that kind of fate on anyone... even someone as evil as Dale deserves a painless death for his actions. Though you are right that it would have a certain sort of poetic justice to it!
