Author Reply: Don' worry. I won't stop writing about those two in the foreseeable future.

Ah Madeleine, you so artfully and provocatively describe these wonderfully intimate moments between the wedded couple. I thoroughly enjoyed her unhurried appraisal of the heretofore ‘hidden regions’ (buttocks and thighs). I will admit a particular fascination for these portions of the male anatomy.

Lothíriel’s aptitude for learning was also amusing; her ready compliance leading to the provoking addition of “More, Eomer” and subsequent response had my pulse racing. The image of “His mouth came down on hers with the impact of embers on snow” left me quite breathless. The lack of a satisfactory (passionate) conclusion was in no small degree frustrating. There is obviously a great deal of straightforward desire eager for release.

Her innocence in many ways is delightful and her boldness to explore even the most delicate of topics vastly endearing, though if she does not resist bringing her favorite brother into the forefront, he is apt to find his tale of years dreadfully foreshortened. I find that I, also, am fond of Amrothos and wish him a long and healthy life.

Thank you for such a lovely tale.

Author Reply: Ah yes, dear Amrothos. I have planed to have him live a long and happy life . . . in Rohan. You always marry not only your spouse but the entire family. And a brother makes such a lovely addition. Éomer is doomed!

Well, the "experience" must have been more enjoyable than Lothiriel thought. It's nice to know that husband and wife both took enjoyment into it. Lothiriel is certainly stubborn. Still refusing to divulge her secret even when Eomer threatened, then actually did, tickle her.

Good story!

Author Reply: Well, it would be sad if she did not enjoy that part of marital live. But so far she has always proved to be an adept pupil.

I loved this chapter. Amazing how the readers are taken from breathless passion to... incompatibility. I nearly spewed my soda. It was really Eomer's own fault though, for interrupting her to ask the question.

And then this debate on their wedding night! Oh, I can see these two are going to have fun. At least they know how to make up for arguments and how to temper debates: just light a fire of another kind. But at least the words 'I love you' have been spoken. It is good to have this foundation from which to base all else on. :>)

Author Reply: Éomer better get used to tha fact that his wife thinks a lot and never hesitates to aprise him of her latest train of thoughts.

And they will prove that they are able to light any kind of fire.

There was tense pause before Éomer spoke again, articulating every word in Westron with unmistakable accuracy. “I will refrain from strangling him and I am not going to wait until he might do everybody a favour by falling onto his sword. I will run that very sword through him myself first thing in the morning.”

At last they were uninterrupted for long enough for them to say what they felt. Thanks goodness. And yet, Lothiriel is also right. She is a good match for him because she fits the role of queen and has the right kind of serious, responsible character, as well as the fact that they love one another.

Author Reply: Yes, I think Lothíriel will be a good queen. She understands duty and she won't be easily intimidated, neither by her role as such, nor by the people of the royal court or by her husband.

Welcome back! I hope that your exams went well.

Well, I'm glad Eomer finally got to tell Lothiriel that he loved her, though it did take a while! Their marriage is going to be anything but boring, with each of them thinking the other is unpredictable and Lothiriel being the innocent that she is....though she is learning! Eomer is going to have to get used to his wife's way of thinking and Lothiriel definitely needs a tutor in Rohirric.

"More, Eomer"---I laughed out loud at that one! That was bold of her and it garnered the right response from Eomer.Damn, your Eomer is hot!

I really love how you have written these characters and made their lives so real.I can't wait for more.

I'm glad you're back!

Ali.

Author Reply: Well, I supposed there aren't too many women around who wouldn't like to have the opportunity to say "More, Éomer!" At least, just once.

I think one of the things that makes my toes curl with delight is Lothiriel looking at Eomer and wondering if this is the moment to mention getting a tutor to teach her Rohirric. It is just so Lothiriel. Only she....

And then - Eomer's changes of mood - from passionate to laughing to teasing to
irritated to bemused and back again over a matter of moments are a joy. As is his admission that he wasn't all that happy about his proposal and that he was not pressured but rushed. Not to mention finally getting out the three words 'I love you'.

Lothiriel is so practical, too. A little uncomfortable with the situation, but not gauche and embarrassed and naive. Aragorn was right when he described her in the last chapter of To Become a Queen. Practical, intelligent - but not grasping the subtleties - which I think will suit Eomer down to the ground.

Mind you - it is going to take them some time to settle down together - and - short of the bedroom - they will be adjusting to married life in public. Not easy.

I was delighted to see another episode of Lothiriel and Eomer's story. Great stuff.

Author Reply: When I write about Lothíriel I always remind myself that she might be very practical minded and intelligent, but she is also still very young and inexperienced. And as most of the young she really doesn't consider herself inexperienced.

To quote Oscar Wilde (I love quoting Oscar Wilde): "I am not young enough to know everything."
