This is so cute! I like the bit about Bell cleaning the whole house, I think she would get along great with my Mom!

Sarah i mean Frodo
I cant believe this is your first story!!!!! How could you have been worried if it was going to make it??!?!?!?! I read the whole thing. The story reminded me of something we would do. Everything goes wrong and then we get hurt.LOL Incredible job!!!!!

Author Reply: Oh, my dear cousin! It's only this good because of wonderful beta readers (Antane and Q.G.)! Yes, it did rather remind me of something we would do. I've actually had multiple bad cooking experiences, and thought it would be fun to write a fic about it. Be thankful you weren't over for dinner when I made those mistakes. My sister probably would have called the fire department!! LOL!!
God Bless,

Mae govannen, Frodo Baggins! Welcome to this site. I can see here that you're simply obsessed with Frodo and all the other Hobbits. Hobbits, in my opinion, are darling little things, but my interest is more in Elves. They rock the world! I love all of the featured elves in the LOTR movies, but I was disappointed and mad because Elladan and Elrohir weren't in there. My favorite elf is probably Legolas, because of his archery skills and his personality rather than the fact that he's played by Orlando Bloom. That's the only reason why girls love Legolas so much. My own friend even admits to that fact. Once, I asked her this question: "If Legolas weren't played by Orlando Bloom, you wouldn't even look at him twice, would you?" and behold! she actually said that that was true. But, as I aforementioned, all the Elves are cool. Well, according to your bio, you go to high school...hmmmmm...and you're fifteen...interesting. I'm a girl whose just barely started her teens...I'm thirteen, if you're interested to know. BUT, I'm in eighth grade, not the customary 7th graders. Most of my friends are turning 14 this year, and some already have, but I was born towards the end of the year, and so my birthday is the next school year. You write pretty well for a high schooler, and I'm happy that you're pleased to do so on this site. I also want to be a site author, but as said by the author submission policy I need to email the site owner with a completed story first, which I still haven't been able to finish due to my mountain of homework. Well, do you guys have a lot of homework over there in North Carolina? Over here, in California, the teachers are trying to load as much homework as they can on us and say that "it'll be a lot worse in high school". I don't doubt that at all, seeing as we had a meeting for Honors English last week and the high schoolers say that they only got one hour of sleep. I don't know if you guys have Honors classes in N.C. but we do over here. There's three honors classes that we can try out for, but the teachers recommend us to not pass over two, but here are the subjects: Honors Geometry, Honors Biology, and Honors English. Now, everybody says that it's really easy to get into Honors Biology, but it's hard for the other two. I've gotten my registration packet already, and I've seen their list of requirements--it's horrible. But this doesn't apply to all of C.A., it's only Temple City...okay, I've strayed off the topic. I'm supposed to write a review for this chapter, not for me! Okay, on with the reverent review.

Well, Frodo is a tween, but you can't guarantee no trouble. In this story, trouble seems to follow poor Frodo everywhere! His clumsiness (though he isn't clumsy, it was just an accident) made him break a dish. Then that stubborn Baggins pride in him detained him from getting a stool; instead climbing the counter, where more accidents occur. Well, he was right in questioning himself how hard baking a cake would be, but he never bothered to answer it. Baking a cake is never easy. I tried baking a cake, and I failed miserably. But poor Frodo! How could he forget that flour? That's like the most important part of the cake! But I suppose anyone could get carried away by their enthusiasm sometimes...

The apple tree scene! That was too funny! Frodo gets on a branch and leans his back against the trunk with a book on his lap; just like the opening scene in FOTR; the peace and tranquility of the Shire--who wouldn't do that? But the trouble is trying not to fall asleep. As you've said in your story, he falls off the tree. Leave this kind of thing to the Wood-elves! Hahahaha, jk, LOL. :D You know what? I think you should post a "DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME" sign on there--that would make it even funnier than ever.

I'm happy to know that Daisy can be mature whenever a situation requires maturity. She may act foolish sometimes, but there won't be a more mature Hobbit than Daisy when you need one right on the spot. Good job Commander Daisy of the Ambulance Troop! :)

Nice ending too. I'm happy to know that Bilbo forgave Frodo for everything he did, though I suspected it all along in my heart.

Good job!

Hershey's hugs/kisses,
-Lady Saruman ^_^

P.S. Please go to my new website: www.councilofelrond.com/members/LadySaruman and tell me what you think of it. If you are already a member of that site, then you can sign my guestbook. Also, some viewers have already told me that the font is quite hard to read because it blends in so well with the background. If it proves hard for you to read, do you have any font color suggestions? I would appreciate it. Hannon le!

P.P.S. Permit me to mention that you made two typos in this story. The first one is: it’s instead of its. People make this common mistake, but it can be avoided. Just remember that 'it's' mean 'it is' and 'its' mean 'belonging to.'
The other one was this:

One lass, Ruby Goodchild, the Gamgee children’s third cousin on there mother’s side...

Well, for this one, you were supposed to use 'their.' I'm sorry I can't explain why, because I absolutely DETEST grammar and I am no grammer fanatic. But I do try to use correct grammar because every time I get corrected, I get sheepish.

Good job once again, and thanks for making me laugh!

Well, it is nice to be so warmly welcomed by a stranger! You guessed correctly, I am obsessed with Hobbits, and even more with Frodo (but not Elijah Wood). I am glad to meet one other person who does not like Legolas because of the actor! Because of that, I generally just don't say I like Legolas. I do like Elves alot, and like Frodo I know some Sindarin. Wow! You're in California? That's cool. One of my best friends used to live there. I've never been, though. Well, I'm actually homeschooled, so no, we don't have honors class. But my cousins go to public school and they have Honors Class. I am in a really hard homeschool group called Classical Conversations, and the work load is a killer! I think it may be harder than Public or Private High Schools. Hannon le for complimenting my work. THis piece was so fun to write. Sorry for the typos....I think it was a slip of the fingers while typing. Except on the Ruby Goodchild issue....I apologize for that misunderstanding. If I called her cousin, it was only to shorten "third cousin" and I am still a student of geneaology (well, I'm trying. Still can't figure how Bilbo and Frodo are first and second cousins unless perhaps they through the Took side). I will try to visit your site if I can. I think all the Gamgee children should have some sense in them, even if she is a lass. :) I must go now and work on that Mount Doom of mine (homework) :( Hannon le for reviewing. Namarie, mellon nin!

What a dear, sweet story! This is the Frodo and Bilbo I imagine, both appreciating and loving one another, and learning to live happily together at Bag End. Your Gamgees are adorable, and Bell is a wonderful "mother figure". She certainly knows how to take charge and handle any emergency.

:D

Author Reply: Oh thank you, shirebound! And I am still hanging on to that latest cliff hanger of yours...barely!!! :) I'll keep writing if you will!! :) Hannon le, mellon nin! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Oh, I love it, I love it! I've told you all this before, but I'll tell you again. The characterizations are perfect. I love little Sam fussing over his Frodo, and Bell too! Yep, that's a mother-child scene right there, as I dare say you know. And...I just don't know where to start! The girls are so funny, and it's *very* reassuring to know that Daisy *has* common sense, when she chooses to show it. :) And the end couldn't be more perfect. Excellent first fic, my dear! And welcome!
God bless,
Galadriel
