| Well that explains it excellently. It is so convincing, I think I will always take this to be what actually happened. Great writing. When you said that time "slowed down" as Legolas was looking for options between the goblin and the uruk hai, that was extremely effectively written. | |

| I don't usually get into a story that's mostly action, but this was kept me mezmerized...good dialogue, vivid language, and a sneaky sense of humor. I love the way your mind works - it's always those nagging responses of "huh?" that get me going too. Of course, sometimes those are the places that JRRT by his own admission just didn't rewrite after he lost some little bit of paper with the story on it... :) Author Reply: Many thanks for the review! And I'm glad I could keep you interested. I tried to keep the battle varied enough that people wouldn't fall away from it. Battles are tricky things to write, I'll tell you that much! Anyway, I'm very grateful for the praise, and it's good to see someone else whose mind starts clicking on those "huh" moments. ;) | |
