Wow - I'm glad Aragorn and Legolas got there so quickly. And Boromir's dreams and spirit are still being assailed.... *shivers*

Excellent. They've arrived just in time.

Author Reply: The work of the far seeing Galadriel, perhaps.

Hmm. I’m worried about Boromir. I’m still kind of hoping that it’s a chance for him to die amongst loved ones, in his beloved city and a chance to see that city begin to regain its splendour and enter a new age with hope and strength. I hate the thought that dreams of “a ravaged Minas Tirith, of death and destruction” still plague him. He deserves some peace.

I love the opening! You write merry elves so well. The closeness between these three made me smile. And I like how even though they don’t fully understand this proud man’s reluctance to go home, in their longing for the Golden Wood they empathise with his pining for Minas Tirith. Neither of those places will be the same ones they knew, but they are still a part of them, held deep in their hearts. You always do a great job in drawing connections between your characters.

The little part with Aragorn and Legolas was very atmospheric. I particularly liked Legolas’ confidence and assurance that they are surrounded by benevolent spirits, Aragorn’s own ancestors. The idea that they have faith in Aragorn and his rule is actually very touching.

So now the king has arrived. On to the next chapter…

Author Reply: Hi Dot,

I agree with you about Boromir, maybe he will find peace.

Despite Haldir's lack of culinary skill, I would certainly not refuse a dinner invitation from him!!

Aw I woke up this morning looking for another story as I thought I ran out of all of the good ones and look what I found! your story I immediatly got pulled in, the way you described the scenery and the voices of Aragorn and Faramirs ancesters is so real I can almost feel that ethereal feeling, you have all the characters down without a flaw(Haldirs my favorite),Cant wait for more and also I hope you are feeling well, thanks for sharing your story! :)

Author Reply: Thanks, I am feeling quite well again. I am pleased you like the story so much, thanks for taking the time to comment.

Boromir isn't in the best of health - somehow, I can't see him living a full life, even with Aragorn's care. Good thing the king has arrived at this crucial point.

I like his awareness of the ghosts that Legolas acknowledges - and the byplay about Haldir's cooking.
