Ah ha! Boromir! Well, that is a surprise and a delight. But I am befuddled... I'll wait and read some more....

So, the Fellowship was perhaps tailed by Elves from Lorien, and they managed to save and revive Boromir? Interesting.

Author Reply: Hopefully a s\cenario for Boromir's "survival" that is not all that common.

Boromir and Haldir!

I'm not surprised that Faramir has been feeling as if he's been watched ever since he arrived.

I can't wait to find out how this develops!

Author Reply: Yes, woohoo for the less commonly starring characters! More soon.

Hey, I have nothing at all against Boromir lives stories, as I have always wondered how things would be different if he became Aragorn's steward. I always figured Faramir would still become prince of Ithilien and Boromir would become steward and rebuilt Osgiliath, the city he loved so well (I'd love to see how badly Boromir and Eomer would tease Faramir about marrying Eowyn and when the children came along.....and I'm sure that Boromir and Eomer would put aside any disagreements they might have to team up for that!). So it's perfectly fine by me that you decide to explore this idea!

And you're doing a wonderful job of it, too! You've really got me interested! You've got the characterizations down right and the characters are sharp and realistic--3 dimensional. The plot line is quite believable and each scene has been written very descriptively and realistically--I can easily picture what is going on. You are drawing me in deeply into the story, and these qualities are all earmarks of an excellent story to me! So please keep up the good work! I can't wait to hear how Boromir survived and what Faramir's reaction to him will be, not to mention Aragorn's, and the other fellowships! Please post the next part soon!

Author Reply: Thank you very much. Your comments are very much appreciated and I am pleased you are enjoying the story so far. I only hope you continue to do so, I am finding it strangely compelling to explore this scenario(now that I am writing it!)

This is getting quite dark and creepy! The first half made me feel unsettled enough to jump when a door slammed downstairs while I was reading it ;-) It seems to me that it’s more than just someone – like the elves – watching him; there’s a sense of uneasiness, of something otherworldly. Of magic almost. It’s like Faramir has stumbled into the twilight zone!! You did a great job with the storm. I can really feel the closeness of the air and it adds a sense of urgency and disorientation.

For a second I really thought he was in the Houses of Healing – you can imagine my surprise when Haldir appeared! And there are others? Very intriguing. I don’t blame Faramir for being confused.

“Fear not, Boromir, your brother will be well in a few days.” Well. Now that was a fall-off-the-chair moment! More please! :-)

Author Reply: Scared you did I, Dot? Sorry about that but this fic is a little dark. More confusion for Faramir ahead.
