Very interesting. I'm pretty new and haven't delved too deeply yet, and I always wondered about the other two wizards.

An enjoyable history lesson, I love the thought of the tree.

Author Reply: Thank you very much (as Bilbo said several times).

I'm glad Faramir asked about his brother's time with the Fellowship and the white lie that he confessed to them all(rather than just Aragorn)was kindly told to spare him.I'm glad they told him all the good things that Boromir had done.

Author Reply: Thanks.

Lovely story of the White Tree Endaewen. Having read the Sil just once (and being very confused by it), this helped make things a bit clearer.

OHHHHhhhh! that was lovely! I like how they remembered Boromir.

very interesting, Endaewen. I hadn't known the other 2 Istari were Blue Wizards. Can't wait to read more.

If you're looking for more information on the Blue Wizards and the Istari in general, there's a section in the Unfinished Tales and one in the Peoples of Middle-Earth. There's also one in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

This is a nice series of "history lessons", told through conversations. I like this part particularly:

Pippin, the youngest of the four hobbits had a solemn and slightly awe-filled expression, and his voice reflected it when he spoke. "Thank you, Lord Elrond for retelling this history. Now I understand more of the insignia I wear, and I respect it even more than I did before." He fell silent, as though trying to pick out his next words, when Sam spoke.

"So, the Tree isn't only a tree, but is something folks can see which links them to the past.

Very nice.
