Locke And Key  by NaughtyNettie 113 Review(s)
BodkinReviewed Chapter: Epilogue on 6/23/2006
Rathir and Thad as room-mates in a rather unpleasant jail. Yep. It'll do. Two nasty pieces of work. I should think Leandir is pleased at the chance to lock them up and flush the key.

I'm glad Legolas is recovering - I can't see him being too anxious to spend much time among men for a while. Except Estel - but then, he's almost an elf in some ways.

Good to see everything working out at the end.

Author Reply: I think Rathir and Thad deserve each other as roomates as well. Should be a fun stay for them. Thank you so much for sticking with me on this story and for all of your reviews!!

I go on a small study abroad trip for a month and come home to find one of my fave stories completed! Both a blessing and a curse - glad i didn't have to wait for the last chapters and sad to see it end...I'm glad Estel was able to see justice done AND recover Legolas's long knife!

Author Reply: Well, you've made my day be saying this was one of your favorite stories. Thank you! And I'm so glad that you liked it. Thanks for all your reviews!!

Ack! when did you finisht this? I had no idea that I had missed two chapters. Nicely finished off, Nettie. I am so glad that the bad guys got thier come-uppence and estel got his revenge. Lovely closure to the whole escapade. I hope you have another fic planned. If you have, you can plan on seeing my name among the reviews.

Author Reply: I got ahead of you did I? ;o) I am glad that you liked the ending and thank you for sticking with me through it and reviewing all along. It is much appreciated!!

A fine ending to a fine story. Justice served at last to Rathir and by the hands of none other than Estel :)
You have done a great job with this story and I must admit it's one of my favorites.

Author Reply: Thank you very much! I am so happy to hear that. Thank you for sticking with me through it and reviewing!!

Ah, the bad guys get their just dessert, at last, though I think serving jail time is a bit lenient. The blood thirsty side of me is coming out, I guess.

So does Legolas get his memory back? I guess he will in due course, but then this little episode with men is probably something he would rather forget if he can.

Thank you for such a wonderful story! I have really enjoyed it.

Author Reply: A cry for blood? I would have never expected it :o)

Glad that you liked the ending. When I researched amnesia it stated that the patient will not regain memory of the incident in which the trauma occurred so I tried to stay true to that.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I am glad that you enjoyed the story!

Well, I'm extremely glad that Rathir got his. Too bad it wasn't more painful. And I'm glad Leandir was the one the take him in. The marshall deserved that satisfactiong.

Nice story, Nettie.

Author Reply: Hmm, I would never have taken you for the type to want harsh punishment ;o) Thank you for reading and sticking with me through this one and thank you for the reviews!!

Well it looks like Legolas is very much on his way to a full recovery, eventhough he thinks things are happening way to slow.
The letter to Estel made it very clear that indeed: "he is back"

Author Reply: I have a feeling that any recovery, no matter how speedy, would be too slow for Legolas :o) Thank you for reviewing!!

I'm glad wisps of memory are returning and beginning to build up a bit more of a picture of his life.

The letter to Estel is delightful - I look forward to discovering the effect of thimbleweed on the elven constitution. Perhaps.

I love the line “I stopped taking the heads of attendants just before your birth. We were running low.” Although I expect Calorthil cringed. The relationship between Legolas and his father seems to be comforting to both.

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad that you liked the chapter and the interaction between Legolas and Thranduil. Thank you so much for reviewing!

That chapter was so enjoyable! Even with all the pain of not exactly being able to grasp all his memories fully, there was laughter and joy! Wonderful

Well, that sounds like a difficult return but a return none the less. Legolas's memories are coming back, thank goodness. And he does sound like the elf Estel knows in his letter. Good.

Author Reply: I thought it more believable to have some memories coming back slowly and some not coming back at all. When I researched amnesia it said that the patient never recalls the incident in which the trauma occurred so I wanted to stay true to that. Thank you for your review and comments :o)
