I do not think I have ever read a story of such quality and talent as this one. The emotional and exciting journey and adventure faced by all of your characters were takled and conveyed with such realism, it was as if I was watching a movie instead of reading a fanfic.

In fact, to call this story fanfic is an insult, considering some of the drivel out there on the internet that call themselves fanfic. Your bounty hunter was totally inspired writing, totally original in character and action. Amazing. I felt every one of Legolas' injuries, again all totally believable. I get sick of reading fics that have Legolas undergo injury after injury with barely any after effect. he is usually treated as some kind of super being that can recover from being shot with arrows, tortured to the brink of death then starved and shot again......and he's fine the next day. Again, your interpretation was believeable in his injuries and recovery from them.

You managed to do all this without making this a long boring dreary fic......the action was superb, the characters all believeable and real, and the little bits of humour uplifting. The very heart of this fic was the friendship and devotion between Aragorn and Legolas. At the risk of repeating myself, again it was believeable. It is a fine balance to get right without making them seem slashy in their love for each other. you balanced them perfectly.
Sorry for the really long review but I like to save it all for the end. This is going in my favourites, and I will probably read this many times over for ever.
I bow to you.

Unfortunately, no matter how well polished a story is, how well planned
and executed or even how beautifully written it is, if the author uses
the word "snuck" it sticks out like a burr in a silk dress.

Proper English states that the verb To Sneak is a regular verb.
It does not change vowel sounds. Thus:
sneak, sneaked, has/have sneaked. and sneaking.

It matters not how many people who know proper English think it is
"cute" or "fashionable" to use "snuck" and thus join the crowd of those
who use "snuck" because they don't know any better, thus fulfilling the
prophecy "everyone uses it". I've even seen it in a poster on a fourth grade
class wall, where George Washington "snuck" across the river. There is one
modern dictionary that has succumbed to the "popular" mentality of
including it as an acceptable substitute for sneaked. (Shame on them!)

BUT---as always,

"snuck" is in the vocabulary of the dialect found in southern Missouri
(Ozarks) or the hill country of Appalachia. It is associated with words like
drownded, ain't got no ___, hissn, them thar hills, I seen it, etc.

Please...for the love of literature...use "sneaked". I swear, NO ONE will
ever notice or complain.

Thank you!

Author Reply: OMG!! You know what is even more frustrating? I know this. I even had a long discussion about it about a month ago with my B/F and parents. I already have this story posted on another site and was just throwing it down here and obviously should have read through it again to make corrections. Thank you for pointing it out to me though. I should hire you to beta for me ;o)

I like your story. I hope Aragorn figures out what to do soon. I wonder how Gimli will react when he finds out about the situation!

Author Reply: Thank you! Aragorn is a pretty smart guy and he already has it all figured out. Gimli should be arriving shortly :o) Thank you again for taking the time to review and I am glad that you are enjoying the story.
