Solitudes  by Rose Red 5 Review(s)

I love the point about time running out, about both of them being aware of it for the first time. It underlies the tragedy of their parting - that for all those years and all those separations, they've not really been apart, but now so. The style works very well - I've said this before, that you're one of the few people who can capture both their moods. Wonderful. And two years too late, but thank you. :)

BEautiful vignette! i love the use of their alternate povs. There must have been loads uf misunerstandings between them at this point, yet those were finally solved under love´s pressure...as they should. I liked the image of Galadriel sailing away and her golden ring shinning like a promise. Very beautifully done!

Lovely story. I liked your use of internal dialog. What I liked best from the the passionate conclusion of their dilemma was his wanting to feel her skin against his. Their mutual meeting, the clouds and the rain were also very nice, romantic touches. Like I said, lovely story.

This is beautiful. So full of frustrated and angry emotion and finally the resolution and the calm. Please write another bit of them reuniting. That would top it off beautifully.

I need to go look for other stories you've written.

I'm glad they opened up enough to understand each other - Galadriel needed to go just as much as Celeborn needed that delay, and neither would have been happy to give in for the benefit of the other. And yet, that doesn't mean that they didn't love each other - they did - but they were both strong enough to give the other the freedom needed.

I like the style - it gives a lovely immediacy to the piece. Most enjoyable.
