The Lucky One  by Antane 5 Review(s)
Frodo BagginsReviewed Chapter: 15 on 2/13/2006
Oh Antane, this was wonderful, as usual! I am so glad that Frodo got a chance to comfort Sam as well. Namarie, mell min! God bless, Frodo Baggins

Another wonderful addition. Poor Sam, having dreams as well. It's not fair, not for him nor Frodo. After what they did, they still shouldn't be haunted by dreams and such. And, like it did the first time, it's going to break Sam's heart to learn that Frodo's leaving.

Yes, the both of them are torn in two, I think. And good use of the Light of all three--Frodo, Sam, and Gandalf.

Oh! This chapter had me in tears. If I were in Frodo's place, I don't think I could make that decision, even with the pain. It's unfathomable! And you portray that very well. The decision seemed like it would be relatively easy (or as easy as it possibly could be), given that he would find healing in the West and Sam would one day join him there. But you really balanced things out with the nightmare. I say, well done, even while it makes the story sadder. :) Namarie, God bless,
Galadriel

P.S. Tried singing the song with the Elvish phrazes, and it sounds pretty good. :)

The time between making a decision and carrying out can also be agonising - as my friend who has just resigned her job is finding out. All I can do is hope to be as good a friend as Gandalf.
