Do check out Primsong's story of Bilbo adopting Frodo, for though she's made it to eighty chapters, it's eighty WONDERFUL ones. Yet this single one is still wonderful beyond telling, as Bilbo finds his heir at last, the one with a spirit to match his own. Very, very well done.

Have no time to think about something relevant to say except very, very well done. Thoughtful and so much in character.

What a fascinating look into Bilbo's mind! Yes, he would perhaps, be a bit wary of finding someone who would understand among the younger hobbits--but Frodo, loving him and trusting him, curious, intelligent--what a perfect fit for him...

Excellent! The flow of memory and emotion was very well done, and starting and finishing with the seven signatures in red... the "best of the Shire" in Bilbo's opinion, telling so much in such an economy of words. Very well done, indeed. Thanks!

Oh, marvelous! Until that sudden understanding, that fierce protectiveness – Come. You can belong to me. I’ll keep you safe. Still selfish, he would admit that much. Oh, yes. As if he could have borne to give this up, this wondrous thing, this unexpected, undeserved… light that had remade his world. And him. Everything I have, I’ll leave to you. Everything I am. It’s yours already – what would I be without you? You've captured Bilbo perfectly here -- stubborn, lonely, wise, foolish, perceptive, still able to face dragons and adventures... You truly bring him to life. What a wonderful story. Author Reply: Hey!! You can't do that. You can't be the first person to review that story mere hours after I put it up! Thanks a LOT for that wonderful review, I'm incredibly honored. There's absolutely no way I can reply to every review if there are going to be more of them (strictly speaking I don't have the time to write stories or read them, let alone review/answer/discuss - I wish I had!), but I WILL reply to yours. You see, one of my inspirations for this was a thought which I think was from one of your stories - Bilbo telling somebody that it's frustrating to know a lot if there’s no one who wants to listen. But I'm not entirely sure where I found it and if it really is by you! Yes, I read your stories, I think they are lovely, and I never, ever wrote any feedback. Forgive me if you can! I'll try to do better... and thank you again!
