Dreamflower's Dribs and Drabs  by Dreamflower 6 Review(s)

*snicker*

Good one, Pippin! Well played. At least *he* didn't lose his head in the heat of battle (in more ways than one!).

Author Reply: Nope, he didn't. Having felled a troll, he's not going to freak out much over a mere fellow guardsman; his only worry was not to harm his foe *too* much!

Oh gosh, this is so terrific. I'm basking in the hobbity love today.

Author Reply: Thanks dear! Hobbity love is the awesomest!

LOL! Nicely done. I love that Pippin bested the guardsman fair and square, and also the other guardsmen's and king's reactions!

Author Reply: Yep. I've had that bunny for a while, but it would never lend itself to anything longer. I had fun writing it out.

((hugs)) Lovely having you around again!

He'll think twice before he messes with a hobbit again!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I should certainly hope so! I think he'll be a lot less cocky too!

Ah, a fitting illustration of "Never underestimate a hobbit!"

Author Reply: Nope. Never. Ever.

Oh, I find myself laughing at the expense of the hapless young Guardsman, who was treated quite properly by a careful young Hobbit who has a far better appreciation of his own skills than did the young Man! Lovely! And I do think Aragorn is likely to be properly hard on the fellow!

Author Reply: Yep. I can imagine that in addition to a stern and eye-opening lecture from his liege-lord, he will be set to some very unpleasant duty for a month or so, and perhaps encouraged to learn a lesson in anger-management as well.

I figure him as someone from an outlying area, young, and who was not able to participate in the ending of the War--now he's set on proving himself and very embarrassed at being "bested" by someone half his size.
