Gah! I'm so sorry! I completely forgot to review! *headdesk* And now it's really, really late... *sighs* I suppose I'll just have to settle for telling you it was an absolutely wonderful chapter. And it deserves far better than this review :-P

Looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Hey, no problem! *hands over ice-pack to ward off effects of headdesk maneuver* Get some sleep -- let us know what you think of future stuff -- don't worry about it!

Glad you enjoyed it!!

NO WAY!!! Tantur is the traitor! The puzzle is fitting together! Give her some time folks, she'll get it! Of course the traitor will follow Aragorn and Legolas so they can lead him to the cure! (She's slow folks, but smart!) Well, I suppose that ARagorn and Legolas won't have to worry that much as Tantur cannot execute orders without fumbling (he couldn't even track them without being known...although tracking Aragorn and Legolas in secret is quite hard). Faramir is right about Aragorn..he is a shrewd man! He and Legolas will figure it out. Poor Duurben. His own nephew! Pippin always brings a smile to my face. The introduction to Gimli even gave me a bigger smile, "..drat the both of them!..." So the soldiers of Gondor are being spread thin. oh no! (bites nails). Are the evil queen's plans working so far? I'm getting nervous!

Author Reply: *grins* We stumped you, did we? The best of all compliments! Yup, 'follow and steal antidote' is indeed Tantur's plan. Certainly he's not the most difficult villain they've ever had to fend off, but, at the same time, they won't be anticipating him... We shall see how it goes!

Yes, poor Duurben... I think Hannah even said as much when we first decided to make his nephew the traitor. We were banking a lot on people assuming that, of course, no relative of Duurben's could be treacherous.

Pippin's that kind of hobbit alright!

*laughs* Gimli was one of our favorite characters to write -- he's just so blunt.

Yup, soldiers are amassing. You may or may not know this, but every story we write we promise ourselves, "No epic battle scenes this time!" They're just a bear to write. And every story... we break our own promise. *sheepish grin*

well, i must say i'm impressed. if you've noticed, this is the first review i've sent throughout the entire story. if you want to know why, it's because i've only started the entire story TODAY. well, like you guys, i've been busy too, except it's not from going to work; it's from school. well, i have a tendency to notice that all authors who write mystery stories always make the suspect happen to be the person that readers would least expect. like in this case. my mind was targeted on someone else, either one of those two imposter sentries, but instead, it turned out to be Tantur. this story is absoulute thrill ride. i'm on a roller coaster, then every time your chapter ends, the machine has a stuck mechanism and i'm stuck dangling from a loop-de-loop. well, i'm on my way to being an author on this website (as soon as i finish submitting my story to the site owner and if she accepts my story). well, i can hardly wait for the next chapter.

i wish you would update every day rather than every three days, but i know, work keeps you from leisurely activities...

Author Reply: Wow, thanks!

Yes, we did notice an unfamiliar face in the reviewers' break room -- *blinks* Just started, eh? Wow. Doubly impressed! Busyness certainly abounds, especially when one has school.

*grins* Yes, I read a lot of mystery stories, and that method seemed to work for them, so we borrowed it. It was kind of funny, actually, since we were banking a lot on Duurben's reputation to keep his nephew from being suspected. You were thinking of the disguised Corsairs, eh? Well, that makes for a more impressive surprise!

*eyes widen at the imagery of Lady Saruman doing the loop-de-loop* That's a marvelous compliment indeed! We shall try and keep you dangling. *grin*

Good luck on getting your author license!

More is on the way...

Oh no!!!!! That was something I had not anticipated.
Do I need to take the 'innocent' back?
And right at this moment war is about to break loose, and we have all occupied.
Just wanted to say that I loved the chaper, my first big shock!

~Vil

Author Reply: *ponders* Yeah, 'innocent' will probably have to go...

Did we really fool ya? Wow, amazing! The more we read what we'd written, the more we worried that we'd given the whole game away from the start. It's tough to judge when you already know the reality of the situation.

Yup, war is on the way! This is us, angling yet again towards 'epic battle' areas -- something we keep promising ourselves we'll avoid. :-P

Glad you liked the chapter!! Hope we will manage to shock you again in future. *grin* Thanks for the great review!
