This has brought a tear to my eyes, you are indeed very talented. Keep on writing and I do hope you try your hand at something a little longer. I just love the way you get into Frodo's mind at this point.

When your home is no longer home, where is it one longs for when one wishes to go there? Alas for our Frodo.

At home and not at home. The pain of that must have been fierce. Lovely little piece! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Excellent thoughts for Aragorn the healer to have had for the woman whose love he could not return.

Lovely and sweet, gallant, tinged with regret. Maybe a man can love two ladies at once....then again maybe not?

Oh, how beautiful this exchange! To see the two of them thinking what must be thought until at last the proper love for Eowyn is revealed is so wonderful. Originally Tolkien had thought that Eowyn was to be Aragorn's bride; but he set the manuscript aside for quite some time and on returning to it knew that it was Elrond's daughter who was to hold that place rather than Theoden's niece. And so he slipped into the text of the story only hints of where Aragorn's own heart was bestowed, to the point many of us, reading the books, were shocked when Arwen arrived to marry him at last. But this is truly lovely. Sorry I missed it when it was posted--it's well worth the read.

Another wonderful piece. You carry us into the deepest thoughts and emotions of the characters. Author Reply: Shirebound, thank you! A long-time reader expressed love for your stories, and I have discovered them as well, and find my own talent lacking in compared to yours. So your kindness means that much more. Thank you again.

And then the dreaming is over at last, the final reunions begun.

I really enjoyed this - well done. We all need to be 'carried on the back of friendship' sometimes.
