A Perfect Fit  by songspinner 6 Review(s)

Awww! I love it when the hobbits get a chance to help the "big folk," or in this case the children of the big folk. Very well done! I think those words are something all little children need to hear...and sometimes older ones, too.
God bless,
Galadriel

Very sweet, I enjoyed this.

Just great, so sweet and smooth-flowing, and so simple and wise. I have always loved Pippin and felt for him when he got those rebukes from Gandalf! But for a hyperactive hobbit like he is, it's just the right job - to soothe a frightened and frustrated child. I am sure Will is going to enjoy the rest of the story!

Author Reply: Oh! I'm so glad it flowed so well. The thing about Gandalf, is he scolds, but shows so much care in the books for his little hobbits.
Thanks for the feedback and compliments...

Very sweet. I love how the "big people" drop out of the story early on, kind of bringing it all down to a child's level (or a Hobbit's!). Really excellent story! And I too would like to know how Pippin got in trouble with Mithrandir as a child... ;)

Author Reply: Huh- I hadn't actually noticed I did that until you mentioned it. *grin*
I'm pleased you liked it so much, and darn it - you're the second person to ask for that story and now it's rattling around in my head tonight. Guess I'll have to work on that after I grade these math papers...

Ah, reassurance can be a marvelous act. Lovely.

Author Reply: Many thanks! Sometimes, as I pointed out to my little one this week, just being there for someone and understanding can be every so much better than _doing_ something.

And all the rest of us too please songspinner! We all want to hear how little Pippin got into trouble too.
This is is such a gentle and charming story.

Author Reply: *Giggle* Sorry - I just heard the tone of voice in that request and it sounded like my five year old. :) Fine - working on it tonight, it seems.
I'm glad it came across as gentle and that it worked so well. Thank you.
