With Sam at your back, you can't go far wrong. As Frodo will discover. Good thing they had Gandalf along to rid them of the wargs - but Pippin has proved his courage now, whether he realises it or not. Two wargs - and he's shed his first blood in battle. Not bad for a tweenage Took.

Author Reply: It took Pippin some time to find his strength, but now he knows he's capable of more than he originally thought.
Thank you for reading and reviewing my story :-D

Very sweet ending. I loved seeing Pippin rise to the occasion, and his pleasure and pride at Aragorn's compliment was touching. Nice story!

Poor Pippin - that sounds a most painful wound. And dog bites are so often followed by infection - and I can't imagine warg bites are any better for your health.

Gimli's pride in him is a nice foreshadowing of the Troll Incident and Pippin's retrieval from beneath it.

I hope they get enough time to prepare themselves for the arrival of the rest of the pack.

Author Reply: dog bites are so often followed by infection - and I can't imagine warg bites are any better for your health That's a great idea for a sequel, actually :-)

I love Gimli's pride for s,aying the Troll and I think he must've seen something in Pippin earlier on.

I love the song and how everyone crowds around Pippin to help take care of him and make him feel safe.

Author Reply: Thank you. I really enjoyed writing the song :-)

Pippin tries so hard to be brave and poor Merry is so very worried. I love Gimli's pride in Pippin because he has managed to kill the wolf. I thought that was so well done.

Author Reply: Thanks. Gimli's getting very attached to his companions, even if he doesn't always let on :-D

Poor Pippin. Being brave in the middle of something is one thing - but the reaction of afterwards is quite another.

Though, if the other hobbits stopped their panic, Aragorn might be able to get round to seeing to that bite.

Author Reply: Eventually Aragorn will be able to convince the others to let him tend to Pippin's wound :-)
