Poor Aragorn, yet is so amazingly brave and resourceful though. When I first read this,I never thought that he would manage to free himself.I like Daevan more and more.

Author Reply: Aragorn is not superhuman, so I stuck to what's manegeable with just human strength.. *g*
Daevan will carry on. Not happily, though, but bravely.

It is me again, seems my spelling it a bit off today. That first line should read, "Aragorn managed to get free" My fingers just seem to type up any old thing they feel like.

Good Aragorn managed to bet gree, with no help in sight from the dwarves. Whatever will he do with his new necklace and chains, little hard to go sneaking about with that on. Plus he has lost Narsil, perhaps a side trip to the lost and found department, if Daeven finds it and turns it in.
Loved the part with the two Dunlendings fighting over his other stuff.
great chapter.

Author Reply: Well, if it was too easy for the hero where would be all the fun? LOL!
Lost and Found Department... Let me see... nope, it's not on the map for Moria. Might be as hard to find as the Ranger for the poor UPS man, who is still on the run through the vast caves...

Oh, I thought they were going to get together again there at the end!

I so felt Aragorn's pain at being betrayed by the dwarves and as you put it, it was a feeling he knew so well. That hurt me for him. :( Some pain is worse than physical. When he lost his sword, I wanted to cry out too, but I think Daevan has it for him... at least I hope so.

I was trying to decide if the Dunlendings knew of Daevan's presence or if the lad they were talking about was gollum... I couldn't quite tell, because then they were talking about 'precious' so I figured that was gollum, but they said lad so that could be Daevan. I'm hoping they aren't looking for him too!

Very enjoyable chapter!

Author Reply: Oh, you found a twist in the story I didn't write into... That's really nice. Well, if the orcs are stupid, maybe the Dunlendings are not... or not that much. *g*

Has he found Narsil? We wonders, doesn't we, gollum, gollum?

Wonderful means of using the orcs' own poor planning against them.

And hopefully he'll get his Ranger's star back as well.

Author Reply: LOL! Good one, Larner, love your idea! But for now, Strider's stuff is gone...

Never a dull moment! Awesome! I'll put my faith in the Dwarves. They would not leave Strider. They'll come back to help him. Very good reading! I am at the edge of my seat!

Author Reply: Thanks, RS! Always love to please. And you might use the edge of your seat a little bit more...

Author Reply: If the orcs get smart I need some new characters to my story. LOL! And, yes, this time it had to be a cliffhanger. I cannot promise to get better. *g*
