Yes, Thorongil has a past, and wishes to end things as cleanly and with as few deaths and dangers toward others as might be.

Daevan in learning on many fronts. A deserving pupil of the greatest of Men.

Another wonderful chapter. I so enjoy their growing relationship, though I am nervous for the future. Loved the 'putting fat on the fish' comment. It was good for Daevan to see that what Aragorn did in Rohan was not just fight but to help lead the nation in other ways. You described that wonderfully well. Looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Thanks! I tend to make up scenarios and try to fill in the smaller gaps as well. It seemed not appropriate for a man like Aragorn to solely lent his hand for fighting. After all, he was born to become a king once. *LOL*

Hi, timmy
I'm really enjoying this. They are headed to Moria, right? Dark times ahead...

Fat to the fish, I like that. To get Strider to open up a little more. Poor Daevan to almost get lost in Fangorn forest. But they did get a nice refreashing swim at the end.

Author Reply: Thanks for the compliment, which I hand over to my fellow friend Mouse, who brought up the saying. I used it with her kind permission *g*
