That was some bad nightmare Aragorn had, poor guy, he is hurt bad. And just what does Nilana want? She can not have the ranger, he is mine I tell you mine. Well Arwin might hae a thing to say about that. I like Nilana's daughter.

Author Reply: The ranger still belongs to you, no doubt . Who's Arwen?? Anyway...

Take care,

This is such a fantastic story and it just keeps getting better. I think I might actually break down and *squeal* when you post the next chapter (although it might be a little over the top)! I love Nilana's embarrassment at her brother's suggestions [could what she 'saw' be given two different meanings BTW?] and her indignation at his rather callous attitude towards Aragorn. That whole nightmare sequence and Aragorn's frantic behavior afterward was brilliant. I am *so* loving this! Oh my, I don't know why a helpless Aragorn has such appeal to me (er, actually I probably DO know why but I'm afraid I might slip here and drop too many clues LOL). This whole bit with him not even being able to speak is just so mesmerizing. Did I mention that I love this story? Nilana's brother is rather a complainer. My word! The poor ranger is hardly responsible for vomiting all over his sleeve. Poor baby. Oops. Must try to be more mature about this review. Sorry! It must be crushing for Aragorn to find, after all he's been through, that Gollum got away. You really make us commiserate with him there. And Gollum's bite wound is badly infected? Oh, what potential this story has. I am going to be SO sad when it ends. Are you ever afraid to read a story because you just know that it's going to be SO unbelievably good that you don't want it to end? Well, that's the case here. When I get your update notices, I check them immediately, but then I'm almost afraid to, because then it's over and I have to wait for the next one. And before I know it *poof* the story IS over. Ah well. (Real) life must go on. But of course, I'm dying for the next chapter *reviewer keels over* -- hey, they don't 'toss' silly reviewers from this site, do they? Nilana is wonderful. I bow in admiration of your talent!

Author Reply: Please, no, don't get over the top! Just enjoy reading the story . And, no way, you didn't drop too many hints. I suppose, you're in good company with many thinking the same way, right? Since I'm not known to write *short* stories, there's much more to happen to the brave ranger before the end.

And I won't toss any review or reviewer! I'd rather embrace him or her!

Take care,
- T.

Love the caring for Aragorn contrasted with the envy of the brother.

I am really enjoying this story. It's very different and it's hard to see Aragorn in this kind of situation where he can't even talk! But yet you can sense his frustration and 'we' know why he's upset over the loss of Gollum, but the people that rescued him don't. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Author Reply: Thanks for your kind words. The idea was to put Aragorn into a situation very different from what is his usual 'self'. I'm glad you enjoy it.
