Hello!! I am so happy that I read Viggomaniac's list of stories or I would not have found this fic. Started reading this chapter and had to stop and review. First of all your description of the Dead Marshes is unbelievable. I am actually there walking on the wet mud and can actually feel and hear the "thwuck" sound that Aragorn's boots are making..let alone smell the stench of the place. Anyway.. I just let out a loud "yeah!!" when Aragorn punched Gollum and when he threw him down (like I'm watchin a boxing match or something). God he's so gross!!!--Gollum I mean. What was the brooch that Gollum threw in the water?? Also, I am still reading Twilight of the Gods and throughly enjoying it. This is great. Now I have two stories to look forward to. I will now continue reading this delightful but creepy story.

I am curious as to your take on one of my favourite 'gaps' in Tolkien's stories. And this was an interesting start.

Author Reply: Hi fliwatuet,

great to see you here! My attempt to fill a gap will take quite a turn, promised. I hope to keep you interested.

Cheers,

Great to see another story from you, and a good start. Sure did like Aragorn's down and out tussle for Gollum, who seems to be a very nasty creature. Looking foward to seeing what happens next.

Author Reply: Great to see you reviewing it ! Welcome to this story, grumpy, and I hope I can fulfill your expectations.

Ooh, how tricksy our Gollum is, throwing the brooch into the pool and causing Frodo's movie-verse fall to happen to Aragorn.

Well started, Timmy!

Author Reply: Yes, I just couldn't stop myself from using that image. Thank you very much that you liked the start.

Wonderfully creepy description of the Dead Marshes, a wonderfully creepy and clever Gollum, and a wonderfully grim and determined Aragorn. All the elements of a great story! I'm looking forward to seeing how Gollum is going to handle his predicament.

Author Reply: Thanks for your review. Gollum should be clever, but he's also mean. Well, he will truly handle this mishap!

I loved it! You portrayed Gollam in a way even I liked.

The idea of the brooch way brilliant! Now, the poor creature has to pull out 'the wanderer' :o)?

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author Reply: Hey, thanks for *that* kind of praise. Didn't think that Gollum would be in any way likable . The story's complete on my PC, so posting chapters will be frequent.
