I'm behind on reviewing, but I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying this story. Delightful, just delightful. This wedding should be quite an interesting show! I'm looking forward to reading more.

Sorry, I read this yesterday at work and then didn't get to review it.

ROTFL! Thranduil killed me in this chapter. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start at the beginning... What a wonderful gift Thranduil brought. I really liked that idea. And the dialogue between Elrond, Celeborn and Thranduil was great. :-)

I also like Elrond and Thranduil's discussion as they planted the trees--the dancing about to the topic of who will stand with Elrond was well done, both sad in the theme and comical in the way it was managed. Ha! Then my diplomatic skills are improving!" Thranduil cried. "One day, Lord Elrond, I will perfect the art of speaking in circles, never coming out and saying what must be said." "And when you do, Beren and Lúthien Tinúviel will return to this world to celebrate." *Snort*

But for the first time ever to the best of my recollection, I did literally spit my drink at my monitor when I got to Thranduil's bawdy songs. You are and evil author! That was hilarious. And Galadriel's interruption was priceless! Oh, it had to be her. That was twisted! I loved it! Great chapter.

IT is so funny to see these people relaxed and "almost" enjoying being around one another for a change! Thranduil's gift was a very well-thought one!
And poor Elrond's troubles are only worsening as the day approaches. I bet Galadriel is enjoying her mother-in-law role!

Mmmm, I believe I'm seeing everything blue around, too, poor one. Thranduil speaking in circles! That would be a feat indeed! I really like your sense of humour, FP :-)

Thranduil rules. He is the best and my absolute favorite. Legolas is definitely his Ada’s boy.

King Thranduil is exactly who Elrond needed in the midst of all this stifling formality bring sad memories.

Yes getting married is happy, a wedding not always so much. It should be but I swear I have seen people almost drown in “perfect plans.” I am glad the mischievous young King of Mirkwood is there to throw Elrond a lifeline.

My favorite was imagining Thranduil singing those types of songs.

I am curious where Celeborn and Galadrial sent Thranduil.

Please write more soon.

Thanks

Jule

It's nice to see that even elves (Elrond, no less) face the same nerve storms as mere mortals before the big date. Interesting that he chooses to ask Thranduil's advice in such delicate matters. Thranduil's advice (so far as the wedding night is concerned) probably wasn't too helpful, but it certainly was entertaining. Is this a glimpse of the bachelor party to come?

The beech trees - what a wonderful and thoughtful wedding gift!

Well, it seems like everything is going to be blue for this wedding. I hope the sky will be blue that day too.

I enjoyed reading it was very amusing. When you mentioned Thanduril my first thought was that he would be a good stand in.

I loved your wounded, generous, boisterous, complex Thranduil. And poor Elrond, it looks like he won't get a break anytime soon. This is a very amusing story. Looking forward to the next chapter! ~TF

Oh my lord. Of course it would be Galadriel who comes along while Thranduil is singing bawdy songs to her future son-in-law. And Celeborn too! LOL

The gift of the trees is wonderful. I liked the allusions to how all these people looked at the Last Alliance and the sense that they're picking up the pieces of their lives again and going on in stubborn efforts to be happy.
