Poor Aragon...His brother's dressing him up in that hideous outfit... He should have got them back for that one.. But Legolas was a honest friend... Though it was quiet funny, its a wonder the other elves could keep a straight face.

Author Reply:
Well, elves can be very in control of themselves if they wish to, lol. Thanks for the review.

She's back!
You know, these thruly feel like summer stories... light, warm and cozy, like the little kids and elflings in their beds. Good job once again!

Author Reply:
What a lovely way to describe them: summer stories. :-)

Thank you for the warm and cozy review!

*dumps medical supplies and tissues and grabs popcorn and chocolate* I've decided to believe you! *snuggles back into chair, imagines to be in a log cabin with a nice fireplace and starts reading* *chuckles* You somehow manage to make me feel like an elfling waiting for a bedtime-story, though I'm really entirely too old for that!

*sigh* It's still sad to know how the tale of Beleg and Turin will end. It is such a beautiful, if sad, tale! "All I have left to me of the life I once held dear are your love and my trust in you, and I wish to take neither for granted" - my heart just started to melt again...
*eyes little elfling thoughtfully* I'm quite convinced this one is Legolas and "ada" is Thranduil.

*giggles* Pumpkin! To imagine Aragorn in these clothes - *snorts* it was a wonder Legolas didn't choke! :D

Two beautiful friendship tales, one sad, one funny - I liked them both! And I can't wait for the story about Aragorn and Legolas! *bounces excitedly, remembers her age and dignity and clears throat* Well, I'm patiently waiting for the next chapter...

Author Reply:
Well, keep bouncing till the next chapter then - there will be just three to go, I think. I did say this would be a short story. :-)

Pop corn and chocolate are good, yes. Also, my advice: get a strong mattress to bounce around on. Hannon le for dropping in, my friend.

A wonderful chapter, and now the image of Aragorn in the "pumpkin suit" will remain with me forever, I fear. What a trick to play!

Author Reply:
Hahaha! I wish I could produce a drawing of that man in that suit, to go with the story!

Thanks for the review. :-)

I think the kind-hearted elfing is little Legolas. And, speaking of which, the story of Legolas being the only one who backed up Aragorn on his begetting day was lovely. I have found few tales that explain their love for one another, but this story certainly shows a reason for Aragorn's trust and loyalty for the elf.

You did a great job of describing poor Legolas, first in shock and then in tears trying to supress his laughter. I also really liked the tenderness that the adult storytellers showed their charges. You have a talent for portraying loving relationships in a way that is palpable. Very nice. ~TF

Author Reply:
Thank you, TF - with so much violence in this world (and our own little moments where we may be uncaring towards others) - portraying these loving relationships is a real delight. I am having fun doing this sotry - though I am finding it harder than I thought it would be.

Yes I felt for poor Legolas in that uncomfortable position, too, lol! AS for your guess: it'll have to wait to be answered --- as usual. ;-)

I love the complexity of the different points of view. The children and the elflings are adorable and the relationships with 'Ada' and Aragorn are delightful.

That Jack Pumpkinhead costume was cruel on the part of the twins, though. It probably drove Aragorn to spend several decades in scruffy rangerhood rather than risk dressing up.

And I love the trusting and loyal relationship of friend to friend!

THank you, Bodkin. Glad you are enjoying this little tale. :-)

Oh what a great supposition! Hahahaha!!! WIsh I had thought of that!!
