What do you mean last journey!? Legolas will return for a short while. He is returning for the one he had to leave behind. She is a half-elven.Yet, though Gondolin fell, she is heir to the throne. She was left behind when the last ship set sail, because she was still too young to choose between a mortal life or an elven life.He promised her he would return for her when the time was right. There where also 12 other half elvens left behind. She must find them.
Eldarwen,she has found.Eldarwen has chosen a mortal life.She is a dark elf.
Etenieth has yet to make a decision. As does Earidus. He does not yet remember anything of the Eldar.Andurvieth, like Eldarwen, Ellendare also, are dark elves and have chosen mortality.Yet, Eldarwen's half-sister Leearwen, who is still very young( for a half-elven)is not yet come of age to make a choice. She does speak alittle bit of Quenya, though.Tanequel, however, originally of Rivendell, has chosen the elves.Iteralday,(Gondolodhrim)has yet to find the other 5 half-elvens before she can make her final journey with Legolas.

I look forward to more stories, but bear this in mind,he will return!!{:

well done! Very well written, i can feel Legolas's grief as I read, as well as Arwen's. Especially in the line: "The life passed from her eyes with Estel’s last breath." Beautifully poignant!

Poor Legolas. Immortality is not all it's cracked up to be.

A nice (sad) vignette of a long-dreaded occasion. I especially liked how you portrayed Gimli. Thanks for writing this.

I very much enjoyed this look at Legolas's thoughts and Gimli's support of him. I love seeing their friendship portrayed so well. Nice job!

Well written. Gut-wrenching. Brings rememberance of when Elrond told Arwen about Aragorn's death and how she would be alone. In the end it was really Legolas that would be the last one standing.

Sheraiah, that was beautiful. You kept him numb the entire story, and you could feel the emotion waiting, just beneath the surface, for its release. Poor Legolas. And I really like how you wrote Gimli, too. "his voice was as strong as ever"... yup. that's our dwarf!

Lovely job, Sheraiah. It's good to see depressed hormones put too good use! LOL

From one hormone sufferer to another: Thank you for this. A great take on Legolas' decision to take Gimli with him.

Yes, well written view of Legolas's last thoughts on the ending of the Fellowship here in Middle Earth.
