Oh, the beginning of that fateful day when Arwen finally appreciated just how desirable this, her father's youngest and last fosterling from among his brother's descendants. How wonderful!

Author Reply: Personally, I think she started appreciating that much sooner, and didn't really need the fancy suit to figure it out. LOL

Thanks for reviewing!

I bet Galadriel had a lot of fun with this. How to dress up a ranger, so he will knock the socks off of her granddaughter.

Author Reply: Galadriel playing matchmaker! You have to wonder what Elrond thought about it.

my granddaughter will have eyes only for the man beneath the cloak, be it kingly or tattered."

And he smiled at the mingled hope and surprise in Aragorn's eyes.

Very nice. :D

Author Reply: Well, I know what matters to me in a man! It's not his suit.

Lovely, GA. It is nice to see a Celeborn in agreement with his wife's actions but also feeling with Aragorn.

Oh, and congrats on the awards - well deserved.

Author Reply: I always had a problem with the way Tolkien described Arwen's falling in love with Aragorn--as if she chose a suit of clothes. Thus this drabble!

Thanks for your kind words on the awards.
