Drabbles, Vignettes and Such  by Gandalfs apprentice 5 Review(s)

Oh, this one was perfect! I laughed my way through it, easily envisioning a cringing Gandalf, pissed-off Elrond, and irritated Manwe. "At least he got rid of Sauron" - very funny!

I hadn't realised that I hadn't dropped in and left a note for this one GA. It is hilarious. Larner came up with a reason for Strider carrying a useless sword around - it was so that Frodo would recognise him from the history lessons that Bilbo had taught him. Didn't seem to work though did it! *g*

I hadn't heard Larner's reason. It's a good one. Could make a good story.....back, you bad plotbunny, back! Stop biting me!

*ROTFLMBO* Now *that* is an unusual AU! Poor Aragorn! (But really, you know, why *was* he running around with only a broken sword?)

Author Reply: I would be really happy if someone could come up with just one semi-plausible explanation for this....

Distinctly AU, and yes, it was a BADDDDDDDD day indeed!

This had me in tears. Poor Gandalf. There really is no good answer, is there?

Author Reply: Hi, meckinock

No indeed. And I bet that letter going astray in your story "In the Hands of the Enemy" was inspired by similar thoughts. Am I right? As for that broken sword...that'll have me scratching my head for the next 90 years.

Perhaps it's best not to take too close a look at some of the other plot elements in LotR...
