Alas--a plan to get it back? What a thing to have a plan for! Nay, Aragorn is right, which he would recognize if he were in his right mind.

Author Reply: Yes, he's got a plan. Well, he's obsessed, so he doesn't realize that Aragorn is indeed right.

Sorry for the delay. Graduation is near, and work is plenty. BUT, I do love this story so much that I just HAVE to review. Well, let's start off with this:

Turning back to the elven warrior, Aragorn laid a slightly shaking hand on his friend’s shoulder. “You must fight it, Legolas, You must break the stone’s hold on you.”

Legolas shook his head. “I cannot.” There was defeat in the elf’s eyes, and his voice was soft, as he begged. “Please, Estel, give it to me.”

Wow, Legolas didn't even fight and he already admits defeat to the stone. I am very glad that violence isn't resorted to anymore, but this is worse than any physical injury that can be caused. After all, mental pain always hurts more.

AH. Poor Ricard. Apparantly he shouldn't have been so revealing to his wife even if he trusted her very, very much. He owns Ravenlore? I thought it was Allaura's place that she inherited. Why did he ever tell her about picking the lock? But even if he didn't, that option would probably come to her anyway, since that's what we all do nowadays as an experiment.

Treco's return. Amazing. But the roof isn't a very sensitive place to hide, especially for a creature his size. Apparantly he hasn't taken shadows into consideration. Something that huge would create a shadow upon the ground, if even just a tiny little one. If a bad guy look at the ground and saw and shadow and look up, the dragon is so dead.

What is Legolas's plan of obtaining the thing that is now "a part of his soul?" From the way you put it, that he didn't even feel guilty, I suspect it'll be a ruthless plan and will involve physical injuries.

Good job. You really do do well on cliffys. As for me, I hate them. I don't like suspense, you know that.

*hands White Wolf a candy bag filled with chocolate* Enjoy!

Author Reply: Forgive my delay. RL and all that suff.

I'm afraid the violence isn't quite finished with yet. You'll see what I mean shortly. But you are right about the mental pain.

Ricard did trust Allaura in the beginning and told her everything. Ravenlore is Ricard's. Remember I mentioned that one of the reasons she married him was to get her hands on it. It was the perfect place, isolated as it is, to carry out her plans.

I imagine Allaura would have tried to pick the lock in any case, like you said. She was determined to get out, and you will se in the next chapter why I needed her to.

Treco was aware he would cast a shadow while on the roof, which is why he had to be on the side with the sun. Luckily that's the side where the next action takes place.

Legolas's plan will be revealed in the next chapter. I can say no more now.

Cliffies are fun. :o) (for me to write, that is).

Thanks for the chocolates. Keep 'em coming.

things look glum. at least he's not violent in this chapter.

Author Reply: That's an apt description. It remians to be seen if it stays that way.

I'm glad that Legolas at least remembers Aragorn. Go Treco! I love this story! Keep up the good work!

Author Reply: That's a good sign, however, he still doesn't seem to care, and that's a bad sign. Go Treco indeed. Thank you. I will do my best.

I really enjoy your story and have enjoyed all of your stories so far. Poor Legolas he makes me think of an heroin addict. They will do anything for that next fix. Aragorn at least knows now what he is dealing with. Tough love is what is needed. It will be hard on both the friends. Allaura is free. That isn't good. Now she is after both of them. Maybe she will run into an enraged dragon. I like that idea. Ricard deserves a chance to live his life without her in it. When will she need to feed again? How will the lack of it affect her? Hurry up and update. I can hardly wait for the next chapter. Will Treco be able to destroy the stone? Did I say update soon?

Author Reply: Thank you. I'm glad you like them.

You have it exactly right. I also compare Legolas to a heroin addict. Aragorn does know now, however, he has to find a way to help. That's not going to be easy. Tough love is an option, but I don't know if he'll think of that. Allaura is after the necklace first, and she'll try to destroy anyone who gets in her way. Ricard was just a victim in all this. We'll have to see what becomes of him.
As for Treco destroying the stone, he tried once already. Remember? He tried to flame Allaura while she was wearing the necklace, and nothing happened to either. All your questions will be answered.
