Aww! *sniff sniff* Poor Legolas, seeing him sad is so...so...sad! lol You did a great job with this! I love reading fics showing Legolas' and Aragorn's friendship! Having a close friend is so important! :)

Author Reply: It was certainly one of the saddest moments in Legolas's life..and yes, friends are definitely important and he was lucky to have both Gimli and Aragron.

I like the idea of Thranduil having magic over natural forces. I know that Tolkien kind of suggests it but it's hard for me to picture and this was interesting.

Author Reply: Yes, I believe there is more to the Woodland King than first meets the eye.

How lovely!
You story captures the depth of the friendship between Aragorn and Legolas beautifully. I could really sense Aragorn's concern for the Elf and his delight at the idea of Legolas remaining near Minas Tirith.

The parallels between Boromir wanting to defend his lands and Legolas feeling the same about Mirkwood were very well drawn. I'd never looked at it in that way before but you are absolutely right.
Many thanks for this story. I am looking forward to reading the next installment.

Author Reply: I think that some aspects of Middle Earth transcend the various races, friendship and love of one's home, for two.
