The hobbits' open affection is the number one thing that makes me admire them

What a perfect thing to do for Pippin. And I just love your descriptiveness. Why can't I be tidy like Merry. In fact I am the opposite. The tidiest place in my room is my desk because I can't aide not being able to find things.

Author Reply: Merry is a planner and I think he can`t stand living unorganised. Pippin is the oposite I think, impulsive and scattered. Thank you!

“You climbed a ladder?” Pippin asked aghast as Merry finished.[...]
“Well of course I did,” Merry said. [...] “Anything for my Pip.”

What a wonderful little story! Of course, Merry would do anything for his little Pip! And he is glad to see, that Pippin appreciates all the efforts made to create his own room.

I loved the description of the family picture, though it made me sad, that Old Rory didn't want Frodo to be in it. After all, he was his grandfather, wasn't he?

Author Reply: Thanks! No, he wasn`t Frodo`s grandfather. Old Rory was Frodo`s uncle, his mother being Rory`s sister.
