The True Face of Courage  by FirstMate 7 Review(s)

Whoa. What an incredible story. I love it!!! Please continue as soon as you can. This is really original. It's nice to read an account of Estel as a somewhat spoiled teenager who can make a horrible mistake. It makes him all the more "human". It's wonderful to read of Elladan's patience, keeping in mind the same mistake he once made. I simply can't wait for more.

I've waited a long time for this update but its been worth the wait. Elladan really was being an idiot to Elrohir. You can only think how hurt he was after his brother said those things to him. Especially since Elrohir protected him from that dog...

Please continue...love it!!

Welcome back - I was afraid we'd seen the last of you, and the story would never be finished!

I like this new story of the younger twins, even though it's Elladan I want to kick this time :>) 'Eldest and heir' indeed - they're twins!!

Who or what is the new arrival? I can't think it's anything friendly.

FirstMate, that was certainly a surprise to see this story pop up here! I barely dared to believe my eyes – this time I really had lost hope you would ever update.

Hm ... arrogant halfwit was a good description, I fear. What was Elladan thinking, talking this nonsense? Nothing much intelligent, probably. I feel so sorry for Elrohir – he saved Elladan’s life, was worried for his brother, and all he got was *this* response! Poor guy. No wonder he is hurt.

And Estel ... *rolls eyes* It will truly be hard work to convince him – the last part left me again sitting here and wanting to shake him. (And the younger Elladan, too!)

I look forward to the next update and hope it will not take too long.

I really enjoyed reading this story and was so pleased to see it updated. "Lost" is one of my favorite stories and I am eagerly awaiting more on this one. Welcome back!

I got your reply and ran right over here! I'm so glad I didn't wait till the 7th to bother you! Seriously? You have just made my day! (Hopefully not my year) :-) I was SO excited to see the update!!

I think I savored every single word. And I knew it was shorter than your other chapters, so as every paragraph drew to a close I was just really, really hoping it wouldn't be the last. But alas, eventually it was...

The story of the boar hunt and Elladan being an a** was just so interesting. What is so amazing about your writing is not only the incredible plots that you come up with, but the way you phrase things, it just builds up the angst perfectly! By the time we get to that climactic moment where the character's guilt sets in, I'm just left with chills- and I love that feeling. If all fanfictions were rollercoasters, yours would be the highest- with the steepest drop. Not many can pull off that kind of angsty build-up.

So I really, really, really hope you update soon. I've never stopped being fully hooked in this story, but now that I've gotten an update, I'm bouncing with anticipation for more.

I can't wait to read what happened with the boar hunt and how/if the twins made up... And of course, who that figure was... Did it have anything to do with the dog?
