| Just found this one tonight and enjoyed it very much. I liked seeing this from Merry's POV. Interesting since Merry had seen Bilbo disappearing act once before. Author Reply: Yes and he would be very observant especially when Merry`s grandfater and Bilbo are having that sort of silent conversation. | |

| I liked reading about the Party from Merry's perspective. You throw in lots of little details to give the scene interest, like the significant looks passing between Merry's grandfather and Bilbo, for instance. Author Reply: Thank you! I found this rather difficult to write as so many others have written about the party before (included me). Merry is very observant and sees a lot and knowing Bilob and Rory were good friends he`d look out for signs of his grandfather possibly knowing what Bilbo was about to do. And he has read the book and seen the Ring so I think he`s extra alert around the time of the Party. :) | |
