Oh my, Anso! It's good to see another chapter up. Now that Merry is conscious again, perhaps he and your muse will return!
I loved this chapter with all its details, from the beginning, with Pippin's tears falling on Merry's face, to all the concern about packing up to leave the campsite. I love that Merry thought of getting rid of the fish, and that Aragorn had already taken care of it; and Boromir carrying Merry to the boat--what a lovely image!
I'm looking forward to Frodo's recovery. They are not so very far now from splitting up. *sigh*
Poor Boromir.

Author Reply: Thanks! Yes, poor Boromir. I haven`t decided if I`m going to have the story all the way to the breaking but the way things are going now it will be a very long one if I do, lol.

Merry would make a good Ranger, actually. In a hobbity way. He is very good at thinking all round a problem - like the fish. Who else, recovering from a nasty dose of poisoning would think to remove the body of the fish so that no other creature could be poisoned by it? Of course, I don't think he'd like the solitude that goes with the role. Or the lack of beer and partying. So maybe not.

Glad they're recovering.

Author Reply: Thanks! Yes I think he would be a great Ranger too. He`d be great at anything he set his mind to I believe. :)

Whew! I'm as relieved as Pippin and Aragorn that Merry and Frodo are on the mend. What an unexpected 'interlude' that was!

"Merry watched as Aragorn surveyed their campsite for any telltale hints that anyone had been there"

Very good! No matter what, Aragorn is always thinking like a Ranger.

Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, Aragorn will always be a Ranger, won`t he? :)
