Avoidance  by Stefania 4 Review(s)

Hee, now I'm envisioning Imrahil as a Gondorian Yente...

And I loved both Aragorn's reasoning for sending Pippin (right on!) and the rewording of the famous wall scene. The style is definitely your writing, but keeps the spirit of Tolkien's. Looking forward to her response. ;)

Author Reply: Hi SMOR -

Sorry for being so slow to respond. I've been sidetracked by work writing and holiday issues, like everyone else.

Stay tuned for more of the wall scene and some matters that probably never occured to Tolkien, as "Avoidance" draws ever closer to its conclusion. Thanks for your support.

WOOOOOHOOOO!!

(I can't be any more articulate than that - I'm so happy with the updates)
Cheers,

Author Reply: I'm glad you're happy, Chibi. You might be surprised to know that I think of you sometimes when writing these chapters and hope that you like them. You've covered the same story differently but so well.

Unlike the last few chapters, "Putting Two Together" wrote itself. I've had the idea for it for at least a year. Plus I wanted to get it done before I went to New Jersey to visit my family for Thanksgiving. I've given myself a deadline of December 31st to finish "Avoidance." Don't know if I can, but I'm sure gonna try.

Stay tuned, and thanks for the review.

I'm glad Faramir has finally asked the question. I liked Imrahil in your story and the idea of Eomer being given many offers for Eowyn's hand is very plausible.

Author Reply: Hi Linda -

Thanks for all the support that you've given "Avoidance." I am really fond of Imrahil as a fan fic character. He's just sketchy enough in canon that he leaves room for those of us who want to play with him.

In regard to Eomer receiving lots of offers for Eowyn, I envision Eowyn as the most eligible human female in all of Middle Earth. So if you are a single noble human male and looking to make a political match, wouldn't you want a gorgeous gal who just happens to be second in line to the throne of Rohan?

This chapter and the next planned chapter also tie in to the story "Family Matters" that I wrote last year for SoA. So I had to be careful that what I wrote in "Putting Two Together" jibed with "Family Matters."

Thanks again !!

It's about time Faramir revealed his feelings to Eowyn! I love how Imrahil and Galadriel, independantly, pushed him to take steps to assure the happy future awaiting him. And I suspect that both Imrahil and Galadriel will be very pleased with themselves after Eowyn has agreed to marry Faramir...

Good to see Pippin back in Minas Tirith and helping his friend Faramir...

Author Reply: Howdy, Raksha -

I'm glad you liked this. Faramir had as much trouble popping the question to Eowyn as i have trying to write his story. Sometimes you just can't find the words.

BTW, Pippin and Imrahil are in the story for its remaining duration. Folks like them and I have more than passing fondness for the two.
