I loved how the POV kept switching and you have amazing song writing abilities:)-- Another great tale~

Author Reply: O, thank you! It really does make me very happy to know that you enjoyed the songs! I am always coming up with them all the time, and singing them every place I go... it worries me that they won't have the same effect if you cannot hear the tune, so I'm happy to know you enjoyed them anyways :) I'm glad you liked the switching POV!

I thank you for this lovely story! I laughed out loud at Pippin's "Brandybuck song" and I loved the way that you shifted the POV from cousin to cousin in this one. Seems that none of them were too drunk to lose sight of the other two. The ending was priceless! The double kiss and the teasing! My favorite bit was this:

(He takes it from his mouth, scrutinizing it with an expression perplexed enough to surface another laugh from me, and then tips the cup over, and shakes it, and brings it once more upright to inspect it. He shrugs, the mystery of the ale far too superfluous to go investigating on a night like this, when there is enough laughter and happiness to go around instead, and puts the glass down on the bar. He sees me, and excuses himself, and saunters over.)

Such a Pippin moment! This was anexcellent surprise after a very long day at work to come home and find this. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you also!

Author Reply: O, good! I am *so* glad you liked it! I am glad that it helped during a long day... long days have the tendency to be terribly terribly... well, long, after all.

I'm glad that you liked Pippin's song! He is such a rascal -- though, I bet Merry knows quite a few songs delineating the faults and foibles of the Took clan, as well -- That he probably may think about sharing now! [After all, turnabout is fair play ;)]

Thank you so much for reading, as always :)

Oh, this was delightful! I love stories about the cousins, and this one was both funny and poignant. Pippin's bawdy songs were hysterical! This was such a great read :)

Author Reply: Thank you very much! I am glad that you enjoyed reading this, and I am happy to know that you liked Pippin's songs... sometimes he's just irrepressible, that one. :) Thank you again for reading!

What a charming, delightful and insightful story! I think you absolutely nailed the characterizations of Merry, Pippin and Frodo. I was especially impressed by the last Pippin section. I do like Pippin and I was hoping that you had not made him into a total fool. To see him so achingly insightful and still be 'our Pippin" so perfectly was wonderful. Thank you.

Author Reply: Thank you! I am so delighted that you thought Pippin and Merry and Frodo were portrayed like themselves :) And I am glad that you found Pippin to be entertaining and thought-provoking. I always have known that behind all his silliness, Pippin is also quite thoughtful, expecially towards his cousins who he loves so much. And since he knows them better than anyone else, he knows how hard it is for them to make light of things any more, and so tries he hardest to cheer them in the way that he can. Thank you for your kind words and thank you for reading! :)

This is so sweet and sad and funny! Just like our Pip!
I *do so* love the cousins being cousinly.

Author Reply: Thank you! I am so glad that you liked it. I love the cousins being cousinly as well. ;)
