So, wow. It's been a long time since I've seen Lost, especially season 1... :-) Should be interesting to see how this progresses...

I'm a complete and total LOTR and Lost fan, so I call this story, quite simply, BRILLIANT! ;) I can't believe no one's thought of this before. It's kind of humorous to hear Middle-Earth characters talking about riding a plane. I can't wait to see how you develope characters. Keep writing!

I like how you are working the ring and the quest into this story. It's LOTR but it's a different situation. Very enjoyable so far.

I read the first two chapters and really liked them. Lost and LOTR are two of my favorite things, and this story is an interesting combo of both of them. Please continue soon!

This is a powerful line(s):

"...His manner is rough, but I believe him to be a kind and good man."

"He is a man," the wizard said gravely. "that is danger enough."

Love it!!

OHH! Good chap. I enjoyed the way you highlight the special contributions each one can make, no matter how small. Thanks for putting the update up so soon! I really hate it when someone litereally takes a year between chaps and use cliffies. I wonder what will become of the friendship of Legolas and Gimli? I hope it works out, I'm a sucker for drama or unlikely frienships. Great chap. and way to use the cliffy, but still promise more, it makes me look foreward to the update all the more! Update SOON!

P.S. You're still my hero! (not the sandwich;D)

Hey Shire! Sorry it's been so long since I checked in, the semester turned into the toughest I've ever been through.

Ok, I am officially hooked on this story. I'm very intrigued and interested to see where you go with this. I read very few AU stories that take them out of Middle Earth, but you got me. Keep up the good work!

OMG, it's going from "Lost" to "Island of Dr. Moreau"; it's ok, I approve of your taste in literature.

Inventive storyline, though I am still having trouble suspending my disbelief about the plane :) Good idea introducing Saruman who is something of M-E's Renaissance Man; our Fellowship is in for a bad week, aren't they?

I'm enjoying this so far - it's refreshing & I can't wait to see where you're going with it - hoping it's not too short.

I've got to say, as the House of Hurin contains my three favorite characters, I hope you're not planning to off Boromir. I read your comments - the changes to come for the Captain General intrigue me, as long as he's not left to be a villian or scapegoat in the end. Of course, how you can please all your readers would be a mystery to me :)

I love this! Now the "Lost" 'monster' (or whatever it happens to be - we STILL haven't found out about that) has shown up. I'm starting to see a couple of parallels here in terms of characters (correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption):

Gandalf - John Locke, philosopher and advisor to the group
Aragorn - Jack, leader and guide
Gimli - Sawyer, perhaps? *not too sure on this one*
Legolas - Sayid

This is turning out to be one wild ride...*hanging on for the duration*

Well done!
