Hello. I've been re-reading some of your stories and well...... please, please, please finish (or update) them if you possibly can? Pretty please? They are too good to just let hang like this.

This is wonderful - please do keep on & finish! I'd really like to see you finish all your stories on this site, they are all very interesting and fun to read. I like your different take on the hiding of the Rangers of the North. You stay very consistent and plausible. Thanks for writing.

I'm delighted to see that you are back! You're series of interlinked stories are among my favorites. Thank you.

And so several debts begin to be paid, and Frodo suspects he now knows a secret. Bilbo educated him well.

I strongly believe Boromir does indeed rejoice at these and what they have done not only for his land, people, and city, but for all of Middle Earth.

And I see my own suspicions are right.

Poor Noldor!

I have my own suspicions, of course.

Definitely an AU story here, I see, as Dain died and was succeeded by Thorin Ironhelm (IIRC, of course). I like your view of the Wainriders; I pictured them a bit differently, of course; but yours are very interesting. Mine came out as proto-Mongols, who lived in yurts built on wagons and often took their women and children with them along with their homes as they went on campaigns.

Author Reply: It's AU but not in that direction. Gimli has had no news from home and doesn't know of Dain's death when he speaks to Aragorn. However I see I do have a reference to Dain after Gimli returns from the Mountain and have corrected it. Thanks for pointing it out :D

Yes, I, too, believe that life will return--the proper life for that land. And it will know beauty of its own sort.

great chapter, wonder what Frodo is holding back. Still trying to figure out who Tal-argon is, but since my books are packed away I will just keep looking forward to future chapters.

This continues to be fascinating! Your details and amazing characters (old and new!) bring this to vivid life. I especially like this perception:

"Frodo is holding something back, something he is ashamed of.”

The King shook his head. “Whatever it is, it can be of no moment compared to what he has done.”

“It is of great moment to Frodo.“ Tal-argan said sharply. “Aragorn, you do not heal a wounded spirit by telling him he is troubling himself over nothing! Whatever it is it is not ‘nothing‘ in Frodo‘s eyes.”
