The Trip  by melilot hill 2 Review(s)

He forgot to pack food? So much for little Pippin's good day. The next cow that moos at him is liable to get a raspberry. It's fun watching him thinking and acting on his own at this age. His pride in his wooden horse's, "real," wollen mane is so endearing. His casual willingness to display his dirty paws after fibbing to Eglantine shows he's not afraid of her and that she's gentle with her children. In this little scene we see the makings of Pippin's carefree, confident, daring, qualities. And, maybe he gets his impulsiveness from his mother as she takes off leaving Pippin in nobody's charge. Ooops.
I hope there are many more chapters to come as I always do when I've read a good, first chapter.

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm glad you like my story. "Unfortunately" for you, there are only two more chapters. No food won't be his biggest problem either, but of course in the end nothing can dampen his spirit too much :)
