Love this so much! Wished you would continue it with more Pippin dialogue and what happens afterwards. Loved this scene and glad for its description and dialogue.

Beautiful and touching. Raksha suggested to me this story in reply to my comment.
"King of where?" -- almost funny, as far as a sickroom conversation goes.

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed it! I've read a lot of stories where Faramir is healed almost instantly; it just seemd unlikely to me that he would believe that things woul dbe right upon awakening.

Thanks.

I heard about your fic from Raksha and I'm so glad I did.

I love your writing style. The descriptions are so vivid! "Greedy tongues of flame licked at the wood, spreading a counterfeit of morning on the walls of the chamber."

This line had me chuckling: "Pippin’s eyes darted wildly around the room apparently seeking counsel from the walls, but none came."

That was beautiful! I must say, I don't give a lot of thought to Hobbits generally, but this was wonderful!

You've made a very convincing Faramir, not a weak man but a thoughtfully human man. I love how he was ready to go and fight some more. That's my Faramir!

Bravo!

Oh, very nice! Faramir is very well drawn here, weakened from his ordeal but determined nonetheless to make a last stand for Gondor when he thinks the battle was lost. And his fear that his father will stand between Gondor, himself, and the peace that the returning King will bring is a neat and convincing point...

Author Reply: Oh, I AM glad you liked it! It was your request that sparked off the idea for the story, after all! Thank you!
