What a wonderful thought... :-)

Author Reply: Thank you. You can tell how much I respect the character of Frodo!

This story gave me chills. Thanks for giving me the links. You are truely an amazing writer. :)

Author Reply: Oh my, thank you! I'm just thrilled that you're enjoying my stories so much. I really pour my heart and soul into them. :)

I was immensely moved by the idea that Frodo would be remembered within the very fabric of nature itself for his spirit and his deeds - not just dependent on fallible creatures...

Author Reply: This type of idea realy moves me greatly, as well. The fact that Arda was called into being by a Great Music, and that the themes of that Music are still being revealed... I believe that the courage, sacrifice, and essence of the hobbits will definitely be woven into it, for all to hear that can.

Am dipping into some of the older tales. This one is beautiful, particularly the thought that the stars themselves will sing the names of Frodo, along, of course, with the names of the rest as well.

This is, I think, my favorite of the stories I've read of yours so far.

Author Reply: Oh Larner, thank you. I'm so happy when something I've written resonates with someone. I will never tire of imagining how the Music and the Song weave their way through the story of Arda.

And all rejoice to hear that music revealed in the laughter of Hobbits and the joy of those who read of them.

Author Reply: I love the theme of "the Song" in the Professor's wonderful world. Hobbits must indeed be a very delightful part of the Great Music.

Wow, that left me with chills! I love your work and am so glad I found it all collected in one place. I have to admit I've been sitting here for hours reading and it just leaves me with such wonderful feelings stirring within! The warm fuzzies you muster with your perfect characterizations of these people I so love is just overwhelming and in certainly the best way!! Thank you very much. Your work is vastly appreciated. You truly have a gift!

Author Reply: Oh my, thank you so much! Warm fuzzies -- especially concerning hobbits -- are my favorite things. I'm so happy you're enjoying the stories!

:D

This is such a beautiful idea. The Earth remembers everything that has now come to pass, although there will come a time where no living human being will remember. Whoa, I hear an echo! "Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it." Okay, sorry, I'm done now. ^^ Thanks for this story!

Author Reply: Thank *you*! I want to believe that nothing is ever truly lost, especially the deeds of such courageous folk.

A wonderful fic! You write so wonderfully. :)

I especially adore this:

You are woven into the Great Music, Frodo Baggins, Elrond thought, and your deeds will endure even after the memory of Men fade. The trees will whisper the tale, the land and waters will remember, and the stars will sing your name.

Author Reply: Oh Nivvy, thank you!

*hugs*

I got the notice about this at a time I couldn't read it, then it got lost in the shuffle. I apologise for being so long in reading this. A wonderful and gentle tale. Yes, I'm sure the High Elves can hear the Song of the Ages and that Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin and Bilbo will be forever part of the Song!!

Author Reply: Thank you, Pearl. I like to think that, when Tolkien wrote in ROTK about the Ringbearers, "The Elves delighted to honour them", they could sense something very special. Very special indeed.

A lovely title, and a lovely story. I liked the end with Glorfindel listening to the music, and hearing the hobbits' laughter.

Author Reply: Thank you so much. I wasn't sure if the ending was going to "work", so I appreciate you mentioning that.
